I think we can all safely assume that the hobby will still exist. But what will it look like? Craigslist and Backpage will be distant memories by then. So will many of the review forums. What will replace them?

Will I be able to just walk around with a smartphone that has a HODAR app that shows me the general location/rate/review/gallery/status of nearby ladies of leisure?

Will I be able to walk around with a pair of glasses with built-in screens, cameras, speakers...that are connected to a facial recognition database on the internet? That way I could simply walk through a grocery store and get alerts that the cute girl in aisle 5 is a pro and looking for companionship?

Will I be able to 'ping' a location for ladies? Or am I going to just 'broadcast' that I'm ready to party? Come and get it!

Or will forums like Eccie simply become one-stop-shopping and move offshore so do-gooders can't mess with it?

I am sure the high tech world will keep up with the demands of this "hobby", just as it does every thing else in life.

But, that doesn't mean you have to be a slave to it. A good friend was showing me all of the latest gizmos in his new Escalade, all of the GPS, OnStar, etc. He said, "this thing knows where I am all the time".

I then answered him back, with a more sinister voice, and said, "that thing KNOWS where you are, at all times".

Well, maybe not microchips but certainly we will forced to move towards a cashless economy by the use of debit cards and the elimination of cash. The most disconcerting issue I see over the next few years, that Congress will enact a 'No Cash' Bill and push all of us to traceable debit transactions. This will greatly complicate my hobby habits and will certainly assist Law Enforcement in identifying ladies who have large numbers of debit gifts to them, In addition it poses the possibility of wreaking havoc on the privacy concerns that it brings to the ladies who want to separate their real lives from their hobby lives.

Wow . . .mind b oggeling stuff. The cashless issue is insideous 9SP?), BUT. There will always be something of value that can be exchanged. I don't quite know what , but barter clubs exist now. someone will figure how to buy/sell blackmarket or contrabanned stuff . . .the hobby will too.

Annonimityh will be tough. Cell phones, On-Star and onboard GPS tracking along with the E-Z Tag drive through on the toll road is just a start. Enter convenience store, pick up a few items and walk out: Your debit card will be charged and your ID will be checked on the security camera to confirm the transaction . . .with face recognition to match the account.

Some days this world just doesn't match the Leave-it-to-Beaver era that I grew up in.

It isn't the world's oldest profession without good reason.

Gee. I'm not that pessimistic. I don't see a cashless society anytime soon or Big Brother being that invasive. There will be a revolution in this country before certain people give up cash. To be honest, things are pretty much the same as they were 10 years ago. Things have slowly evolved. Actually in ten years time, I think the hobby will be more accepted in society. Some non-prudish jurisdictions will see taxation of providers as a revenue stream. I'm surprised places like San Fran or Seattle haven't already "legalized" prostitution.

I watched a fascinating show on the advancement of halographic imaging the other evening, the Japanese are at the forefront of the technology, and I invision one day soon that you will be able to call up halographic images to your bedroom to scroll through a list of available ladies and watch and listen to their ads....

It seems with every advancement in technology, the adult industry whether it is porn or escorts has advanced with the latest technology..

The phone, the computer, beta cam corders evolved into VHS then to Disc, any new technology is eventually used for adult entertainment....

By the same token, your SO can call up a halographic image of what you are doing at that exact moment.

Yeh, TopSarge, I will be 64 in just a few weeks, heck, in 10 years, about all I might be able to do is put on a pair of those glasses with Sarah doing her thing in a virtual session.

I'll try not to drool too much.
