Some of these ladies are going to price themselves out of the market. They might as well charge a lot of money while the getting’s good.

I totally agree with this. It's your body, charge what you want. Same goes for the men, it's your wallet, decide what you're willing to pay. Somewhere in the middle, there is a provider/hobbyist for everybody.

OP you are right when I began as a hobbyist I would see prices as low as $150 hour but times have change I guess...

With respect to the ladies, mine isn't a complaint so much as an observation. I'm just intersted in what might be driving the current state of the hobby. It seems the consensus here is that, at least in some cases, the rates are going up while the quality is diminished. That's not true for all, but certainly for some, if not most.

There is a price point for every hobbyist...so pay you feel like paying..but make sure you know what you're paying for and you will be ok

There's a documented trend called, IIRC, "The Waitress Phenomenon." Basically, it posits that, young, attractive women who, in a worse economy find themselves working as a server in a restaurant, have better opportunities available to them in a good economy. And it's something that occurs all up and down the employment ladder.


In other words,with no disrespect or disparagement intended to any woman who chooses providing as a means of support, in an economy with more jobs than people available to fill them, some of the bright, ambitious women who might care about providing a quality experience are making decent money in RW jobs.


Just MHO, and worth what you paid for it.
