Default Trump - The nepotism begins

Trump wants security clearances for all of his kids:

http://nypost.com/2016/11/14/trump-w...ity-clearance/

Doesn't this idiot know that a BIG part of the reason he got elected was that his base was sick of the Bush and Clinton dynasties? So, he's going to start another one?

He's allegedly a billionaire. Shouldn't his kids be able to make a good living managing all of his assets in a trust? Give them private sector jobs where HE pays them, NOT the taxpayers.

Not even a week gone by and he is already making big mistakes.

He needs them for advising. They help him with his business ventures to become profitable so it makes sense why he would want a successful team around him and reduplicate his private success in a public and political arena.

Horseshit.

There are 320 million people in this country to choose from. But he has to have 4 of his kids in sensitive positions?

There isn't a single person in the country that can do a better job than each one of them?

Nepotism undermines everything he was allegedly sent to Washington to do.

When an advisor fucks up, it is easy to fire them. Not so much with your own family members.

That's why you don't hire them in the first place.

He made a good move when he kicked Chris Christie to the curb. All that gets erased by this move.

You said it and not me!

BTW, you are ignorant of old school politics, Machiavellian style. Back in the day relatives were hired to help rule a nation. When they fucked up, what do you think happened to them? Heads literally rolled. I think the smarter relatives developed a good plan to keep themselves alive by being competent and doing their jobs well. Loyalty brings out the best in people. Family kinship engenders loyalty. Blood is thicker than water as they say.

Most, like the ones on this forum need some head bobbers when ever they say something. Trumpy needs his kids to reinforce his tweets.

You cannot get the best person for every job. There you go again with your engineer's insistence on things being black and white. Live with a little nuance - I'm sure he knows his kids aren't perfect but he can trust them to do what he wants. He will get other independent minds for other positions.

He has delivered the House and Senate to the Republicans, and now we can get a decent Supreme Court, and a great one if Ginsburg croaks soon.

Count your blessings, name them one by one....

I didn't "say" anything. That was a question, not a statement.

What century - and country - are you living in?

I'm well aware of Machiavellian politics. And that is why we got RID of it.

Family kinship doesn't engender loyalty. It engenders corruption.

Are you actually advocating for murderous family dynasties to "rule" the country?

I think exNYer owes Iffy an apology.

For the record, at this time, it's my hope that Ivanka Trump is the first woman President.
