As soon as we can get enough export terminals built and the nations in Europe can build their terminals, the US will be a major supplier of natural gas to Europe. Europe would no longer have to worry about which way the winds blow in the old SU.

I think it is important for the U.S. to share it's natural resources with allies.

Particularly when the resources are expendable.
