None of this is probably true. It was written for Liberals to gawk over.

L17 - likely the most truth here.

DPST's do get themselves all hot and bothered so easily over such foolish trivialities.
It's a bit like poking a hornet nest with a stick - only thing, DPST's got nothing to worry anyone.

Fun to stir them up into their "Outrage". And no consequences!!
LOL

Thanks for the compliment. I wrote that for two reasons. First, the A&E biography was fascinating, well worth watching. Second, as an experiment to see how people would react. The post is pretty middle of the road, and maintains that the Russians probably don't have dirt on Trump.

American politics has become like football. Say you're a University of Texas fan or an Oklahoma fan. If you're from Oklahoma, UT sucks. If you're from Texas, OU sucks. Instead of questioning the words and deeds of politicians, we're for them or against them based on their party affiliations. The country has always been this way, but it got worse with Obama and went into overdrive under Trump. Trump has come up with some ridiculous fabrications, and at least a couple of his positions are antithetical to what the Republican Party has always stood for. His attacks on some of his fellow party members (Ted Cruz for example) were over the top. Still many of his supporters, as well as many Republican politicians who know better, are behind everything he says and does.

And it works the other way around. There are many Democrats who have a knee jerk reaction to anything having to do with Trump, good or bad. It's interesting to see them lining up, taking positions on issues like trade and immigration that are contrary to what the Democratic party historically stood for, just be to on the other side from him. Trump has done some good things. If he thought like Republicans of old on trade and lightened up a bit on immigration and could muzzle himself, I wouldn't have much to complain about.

You and I disagree as much as any two people on here, but still there's mutual respect, perhaps because we're both willing to think independently. Yes, I think you're right, if you're respectful in your posts, with a few exceptions those on the left here will respond accordingly, while some on the right won't. It was interesting that a couple of the people I agree with the most here are the ones who came after me, because I said something mildly critical about the president. Actually gnadfly might just not have read the OP. Either that or he's put me on ignore because I don't believe in conspiracy theories.
