Credit card readers (new thread)

I had the chance to see one of those micro card readers that you plug into your Iphone in action today..
First, size.. its frigging tiny.. a box of matches is bigger but the lady said it works great!

I have seen those for other phones too.

however I found This Card Reader which says it works with Windows and Mac and can use QuickBooks, and PayPAL

I know there was some discussion about this a while back and I did try to search for the thread but figured this might be better than bumping an old thread.

One the good side is it can read gift cards so that means a guy can buy a preloaded visa gift card, the lady check it, and its all cool for a session to happen.. Now she has a card she can use for things instead of carrying cash... (I am emailing them if it can deduct from your CC and then load her Gift Card so she does not get a ton of gift cards etc..) basically if this allows a lady to not keep cash around, makes things safer for her.

not to mention think about this - Guy goes in and opens a "bar tab" and the session goes from 1 hour to 3-4 with a lot of extras, they agree on the fee, she enters it in, closes his tab.

Might be a good idea...gift cards are nice to get..as long as they are legit, and this would be a good way to make sure..something to think about..good post darlin..thanks again for the other night..

I got a reply from them.. so far no to working with Linux, it won't fill a gift card and they say a mobile app is coming in 60-120 days

But because it can link to a Paypal account.... all the lady would need is to link her card to her paypal account, then when she charges the guy's card it goes to her paypal
