Take the bait? you flatter yourself; what is so good about 2.5%? Our growth rates should be alot more robust coming out of a deep recession. you really show your ignornace on economic trends by touting a 2.5% growth rate as an accomplishment of Obama.

Canada is a net exporter of energy; unlike the US which Obama has crippled the oil industry.

Canada has lower corporate taxes and lower deficits; unlike the US which Obama has just added $4 trillion in new debt and continuing to climb with his entitlement binge.

Canada spends less on public educaiton than the US and gets higher achievement levels.

Canada is less tolerant of illegal immigration than the US.

Canada is less multi-cultural than the US.

We need at least 200,000 new jobs every month for the next 4 years to get back to pre-recession levels; Obama doesn't know what he is doing. Obama's policies are killing any robust recovery that economies usually get when emerging out of a deep recession.

And that 2.5% GDP is being eroded quickly by the uptick in oil; we are now back up at $94 a barrel oil price, so any gains in economic growth is for naught..expect gasoline pump prices to rise accordingly.

Applying the Joe Biden economic modeling theory; I wonder how many murders and rapes have occured because Obama was elected President and our economic recovery (and tax revenues) hasn't been robust...enquiring minds want to know.
Also, to show what an imbecile you are because you apparently don't know WTF you are talkin about Canadians have an overall higher tax rates than Americans BUT the Canadian govt is smart- they tax the upper middle class and the rich at a much hiher rate than the lower income- something Obama has been proposing- here is the article that backs it up: http://canadiansocialresearch.net/taxes.htm

but I guess in your world WW Canada is doing class warfare right?

There would be no Canada if there were no United States. We give them the cover to do what they do. If we were to adopt their model, we would be copying a country that became the way it was because the US is the way it is. It would not work. We cannot operate as a subservient country and remain a dominant country.

And Canada has Universal Health Care and various more
social programs"- did you leave that out on purpose?????
Also again to show what an imbecile you are Canada is not out of their recession and since 2009 they have been experiencing a trade deficit- here's a link that compares the two countries- keep in mind the USA's GDP is still number 1 in the world and nearly 14 times larger than Canada.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadia...omies_compared
Canada has a total population of 34 million people- the state of California alone has 37 million- so how the fuck can you compare what is going on in Canada versus the United States- why don't you just move to Canada?

So if Canada is doing every thing great Whirlway- than do you embrace their "socialist" healthcare program? As far as I know no politician from Canada is asking to repeal their healthcare program and the taxpayers are paying for it- you now look like a complete fool Whirlway LMFAO!!!!!

While I agree that they piggyback off our military, that does not mean that they(or we) would be worse off were we to redirect all the money we spend on the military complex and adopt Canadian or Germany's healthcare system.

What we are arguing is that our form of government has become unable to actually fix problems. That is wtf Moody's stated when they downgraded our credit rating.

Maybe our system of governance was great for past behavior but is not efficient for this present world economy.

It is like a sports team that is so caught up on the individual (Democrat or Republican) accomplishments that it is no longer a very good team , even though individually it has great players.

Just something to think about.

Our government has been taken over by power hungry elitists, from both parties.

Default casting pearls before swine

These seditious rats won't be happy till
every last vestige of the Old Republic is gone.

If socialized medicine is so marvelous,
why aren't the majority of breakthrough
treatments coming from those countries?

You probably think yourselves to be men.

Overgrown children that think they are
owed something just for living.
Yeah, you got something coming alright
I don't think it's what you're expecting.

All the other countries suck.
They have half-ass healthcare and tin navies.
We have been to the Moon and mapped
the heavens.
Our bluewater navy is still without peer.
This is the land of plenty.

You want eurostyle healthcare?
Most europeans live in smaller apts
than our public housing units.
Most europeans don't own a home
or property.
Most homes don't have AC.
There is a tax on all TV's and pc monitors.
As well as a big TV tax.
Most europeans don't own a car.
Most of the cars are microdeath boxes.
Most ride mopeds, bikes, and such.
Because gasoline is taxed 150%+
to fund all the govt giveaways.

You want what europe has
prepare to live like euros.

Traditionally the hallmark of a good American
was someone who did the opposite of what
the skunks across the pond did.
It's why we drive on the side we do.
It's why our place setting is different- opposite.
Europeans are conditioned to servitude
and being told what to do.

This is the land of the free and home of the brave.
A coward dreads all things.
A courageous man will live well anywhere.

May posterity forget you invertebrates
were ever our fellow countrymen.

You are the fool to view the world with black and white glasses.......like everything in life there are shades of grey....Canada gets somethings right and gets some policies wrong...in the 1990s Canada revamped it's tax and regulatory system because it had a crushing debt and was losing it's competitive edge against world economies.....the turnaround was astonishing......Canada went one direction (to solve their economic problems) and Obama is headed in the opposite..........

Do your homework idiot ! You might learn somthing when you find out how Canada turned around a failing economy in the 1990s.....

I can't believe no one else pointed this out.

The GDP DID NOT DOUBLE. If the GDP doubled I would vote for every incumbant.

But ya gotta admit, and you won't, that every time there has been growth is gets revised. I will wait for the revised figure before I have an orgasm. do you have the same premature celebration issues elsewhere WellEndowed?

Well, I've spoken to doctors from Canada and they have found it very frustrating. They are limited in what they can do to treat people, and the pay is inconsistent with the education they need and responsibility they have. They are looking for work in the US.

Would Canada's economy be as well if :

1) They had our healthcare system.

2) They hadn't discovered a shit pot of oil.

....and for whirlaway to say Canada is ''less multi-cultural than the US'' is idiotic. They have Quebec for God's sake. They have wanted to rid themselves of Canada, they speak French!

He also so said Obama has crippled our oil industry. Another lie. In fact we are producing more oil than with Bush. Did the BP spill put a damper on drilling? Yes, should it have? Yes again. That issue needed to be looked at.

As to his ''Canada has lower corporate taxes and lower deficits''. Yes but not really on the corporate taxes. GE paid no taxes last year. They bitch about our high rate but hardly any corporation pays it. Another ploy that ignorant people fall for in the GOP. The tax system needs to be revamped and the rate should be dropped and the deductions dropped too, so people like Whirlway will not be fooled by such nonsense. As to his lower deficits....Canada spends 1.5% of its GDP on military and around 9% of its GDP on healthcare. Plug those numbers into our system and see how well we do! The problem is that when you try and lower those numbers to say where Canada is spending you have idiots like Whirlaway crying about cuts in those programs.

So once again you have idiots touting things that in reality they are aganist....though they are to ignorant to know they are really aganist something they are for!

Damnist thing.
