Tragic. But this is not racism, it's gross negligence on the part of whom ever was chaperoning this trip.

I am assuming that any parent would not let their 14 year old child go on a trip such as this without proper chaperoning.

It will play out in court. If the Attorney brings up that asinine race shit, you would hope that a judge and jury would see through it.

It's time for parents to start taking responsibility for their own children and quit pushing it off on the neighbors, the school personnel, and/or law enforcement. This kid was "14"? And didn't know how and where to swim?

There is some truth in that.....parents never seem to want to take any responsibility.

Though school personnel and LE should be held responsible for their own misdeeds too.

Watched the tape. Looks like the kid drowned in a shallow muddy river AND he had a GOPRO on his head. Footage showed people all around him.

He must have been hated as he cried for help and now one literally reached out an arm. I wonder what organization went to Belize.

Parents didn't teach the kid how to swim. I wonder if the GOPRO had anything to do with it.

Waco, they won't let you swim with a tuba and I guarantee hauling a tuba around in the middle of the summer, you'll have the stamina to swim out of the Amazon.
