Default DC Hotel Security Question

Going to be in DC in a couple of weeks for a conference. I will be in a hotel near the capitol (starts with an H). I am hoping to have time to play, but concerned about hotel access. More specifically does any one know if the major hotels around the capitol require a room key for elevator access? Since I will be with a large group of people that know me, I need to be discrete abut who comes to possibly visit me.

Majority do not, or at least before 11p or so... free to PM me directly, I'll let you know if I've been to that one

I'm pretty damn good at being discreet, even when key cards and friends of client are involved. I follow at a distance if necessary. Just make sure to get off on the floor he pushes in the elevator. I literally go thru this all the time. It's usually not as worrisome as it may seem when we over think something. ;-)

Default Some National Harbor hotels do need keys

I recently attended a convention at the Gaylord Hotel & Convention Center. The seem to have added the key card scanner to the elevator.

This also was the case with the Wyndham Hotel as well. I find this very annoying. While it is easy to sneak in with a group. If there is not a group at the elevator, I would need to fetch the lady and take her up.

Just figured I would pass this along.

Default I personally would not put names in a public forum BUT

you can google "hotel name key card" and also call and ask while being discreet.
I don't have issue visiting key card hotels because 1, I screen very well... and 2 bc I have not the "bad girl" look written on my forehead.

You can always meet for a coffee near, enjoy a cocktail in the bar, enjoy dinner together... bc well.. who doesn't like to have a real date-like.

you can always visit my website.. those are my type of dates

So I was at the Hilton Capitol Hill, no key cards required.
The reason I posed this question because in one city I arranged for an incall but I had tins of colleagues there. We met outside, I gave her a key with room number instructions and she tailed me in and I got busted buy a coworker attending the conference because she stayed on me like a fly on Sh*t. So now I am even more paranoid.

Wow .... yeah in the future if the reviews (TripAdvisor etc) of whatever hotel you're staying in doesn't mention anything about needing a keycard for the elevator I would probably still call to double check.
There are a few hotels in D.C. that require keycard for the elevator but most 3.5 star or better hotels here don't.

It's not always just as easy as the Provider sneaking in with a group, at least not at a certain (nice) hotel in DC. 😂

It's not the usual key card set up, tho. No key card needed to get into the elevator (altho I was unaware of this at the time, and *thought* I snuck in), or to get off on either the lobby floor or another non guest-room floor.

You need the actual room card to GET OFF the elevator at the guest room floor that you want, however.

Yup, took me like 3 times riding the elevator up and down to figure out why it was skipping the floor I had pushed. 😉

Needless to say, I learned the hard way on that one! I never go to a hotel now for outcalls without knowing the entire elevator/key card situation, in advance.

By the way, what you say about the Gaylord is true. There are also 2 different sets of elevators; one set is a bit more discreet, for those who need extra discretion. Both require key cards, tho.

I saw a male masseuse walking into an elevator there, with his portable table. A guest had been waiting for him to let him up.

I've also had a client hide a key card outside for me (not at the Gaylord).

..Took me like 3 walks up and down the sidewalk trying to act super nonchalant and "evening-strollish," to find the damn thing. 🤔 Apparently I was looking *too hard*. ;-) If I recall correctly, my client walked me thru finding it via text, and once I did, it was very obvious, and I felt silly. 😁
