As I said in post #59, Ehlinger is a warrior!! Did you see the clip of him running OVER the safety on that 9 year run near the end zone? Teammates respect QBs that do that kind of stuff. He and Shane may be close in terms of throwing skills, but Sam has the intangibles. I don't think any stage is too big for him.

Fun watching him (quickly) develop.

Yes, he "trucked" that guy. If we do start Buechelle and we are down at half Ellinger will come out. I'm worried Herman "gave his word" to Buechelle. Then if Ellinger wins at that point Buechelle will move to QB2. Ellinger is better.

He's got to start Ehlinger. Peeps will be pissed if he doesn't. Including the players. He's a gamer and has the body to take some hits. Shane just can't take the punishment. Looks like the team has rallied around Ehlinger and it would be foolish to take that away. Start Ehlinger and I say UT wins by 10. OU's defense is suspect.

I think they will be 5-7 going into the tech game. I think they'll beat Kansas and Baylor.

The only reason the game today was close is bc of ous penalties. I don't understand why herman goes on 4th down more often than not. The broadcasters talked about it several times.

I don't think the big 12 will have a team in the final 4...agatin.

Being down 20-0 was to much to overcome. We almost did it. Very exciting game.

You see some teams in Texas position continue to improve to the point where no one wants to play them at the end of the season. Other teams give up and collapse. Hope we fall into the former category this year. Change 4 plays and we could be 5-1. I think the Horns are doing well considering the offensive line is decimated. Maybe Herman can sell top recruits on idea Texas is just one impact player away from being a championship team.

No, they are an average team with unrealistic expectations.

Should have but didn't

OK State is a damn good team. Our safety's better quit giving up the long ball. Chris Warren and the backs better lower their pads and start getting 4 yards when hit after 2. I don't think we win tomorrow. I hear the spread was 9. We won't cover that. OK State wins by 14. Our only hope is to score quick and let them play catch up to our stiff D,

Another participation trophy.

While the D has been "good" the offense has regressed to a fcs. Next week against Baylor should be an even matchup if you look at numbers alone.

What happens if Texas goes say 5-7 or 6-6, 6-7? I am betting they are regretting letting Mack and all those millions go away chasing the next hot.coach in a under developed conference.

Goes to show you that without a decent O line, a team is fucked. The defense played well enough to win against OSU's very high powered offense, but when you have no run game, the O becomes super one dimensional.

If Texas O line had not been decimated by injuries they would surely be 6-1 or even 7-0. As it is we are only a handful of plays away from being 6-1. The D has been amazing, going from the 2 worst defenses in UT history to one of the best in the nation. OSU was #1 offense in the country coming into the game. The last month has been very frustrating but I'm very optimistic about the next 3 years for Texas.

Lol IF always the day after.

If the other teams didn't play their worst game of the year it would have been a worse loss. I wouldn't be surprised if Baylor beat them.

My school is in the same boat as UT however...

Texas should of beaten USC. The refs were crap. I think they are two years from being highly competitive.

Tech v UT will be very interesting.

We better beat Baylor who is not in the top 100 in D by 2 touchdowns+. They can't stop the run or the pass. With Ellinger out and Buechelle coming back from an ankle injury, Heard better be getting plenty of snaps in practice this week. The way our O line sucks and Herman keeps calling QB runs we might end up with a 4th string QB quickly. These guys are getting blown up. Who is our 4th string QB? Some redshirt freshman?

Baylor is like Texas in that they are a much better team than record shows. They played OU a very close game. This is a must win for UT. Agree they need a more diverse play selection or Concussion Boy will have to retire before he completes freshman year.
