Even in Questions for the Staff-Austin, which is where, presumably, member's issues are directed at the staff, specifically for the staff to respond to, instead it instantly digresses into the same name-calling shit-show every other category in Austin is full of. I'd think the difference here would be the staff would actually respond, but look, not one goddam comment from any mod. It's fucking embarrassing. I finally did get a point for disrespecting staff, after my first post directed at the staff went ignored by the staff, and turned into yet another flame war, and then I made a second post, thinking being a little more forceful would get a response. It did; I got a form PM informing me of my point, but absolutely no comment on my relevant question, and my reply to that PM was ignored. There's some serious douchebaggery going on here. The mods are flat out doing a shit job, and ignoring complaints about it. Not to say that it isn't on us, the members, to treat each other with respect, which is why I won't respond to any of the 6th-grader type attacks that'll no doubt follow this comment, because me and a select few other members here won't muddy ourselves like that. The mods are supposed to correct those who have no manners. At ASPD they kept a handle on it- RR wouldn't have lasted a week on there. They probably were a little too strict, but better that than this. The problem here is that the mods let shit get out of control, and now they can't hand out points fast enough. They need to just declare a week or two of flat-out permabanning of chronic offenders, even if it violates the TOS. Either way, they're doing a piss-poor job when members are daily calling each other faggot or worse, and blathering about meeting our behind the gym during study hall. This might get me another point, but I can bet that it WON'T get me any sort of directed response to my accusations. I give them the benefit of the doubt that that's because they're embarrassed at how badly out of control they've let this get. In the meantime, all we as members can do is try to behave like civilized adults, and not rise to the bait of the kiddies shit-talking all the time.

imo, if you are looking for credibility here, perhaps posting some reviews of known providers could be a start.

I did notice that, and maybe I should have waited to see if the tone of the threads changed, but I've seen them banned before and the mud-slinging barely slowed down. And I was looking for credibility, I was looking for civility.

Hey there ck! I remember you from ASPD days. One of the very peoplpe I was thinking of when I was missing mods who knew how to maintain order. Did you retire? Cause if so, IMHO they could really use your input more.

Let's be honest here. The moderator who pointed you for disrespecting staff reversed that infraction, so you got no punishment for speaking your mind. Stop playing the victim and implying that you did.

That's where you are wrong. This is an adult-themed board and adults will disagree and tempers will occasionally flare. Letting you call someone an asshole makes more sense than making you edit your post to call them a doodyhead so that no one is offended. Wouldn't you agree?

And if we point the guy who calls you a "perv with a small dick" we'd also have to point you when you respond back that he's a "fat prick who likes dudes". The so-called rule breakers would win that fight, I'm afraid, as they know how to manage infraction points better.

I thank you for responding to my concerns. I respectfully disagree that mods shouldn't at least occasionally step in when things get really out of hand, but I'm not in charge of arbitrating that. It goes without saying that the members themselves should police their comments and keep them civil, but we all know how well that works IRL and on the internet. Here's hoping that it stays civil around here.

I don't post a lot here because I don't have a lot of time to be here and when I am here I have a pretty specific purpose, and want to get the info I need and get after it. I definitely haven't contributed much because almost all of my reviews a couple years ago were flamed. Now that things have calmed a bit I'll post reviews of the women I've seen.
