Default Why does this happen?

Why is it that when ladies try to sign up on eccie they get this message? Im told this happens a lot. It happens whether or not they have never tried to register before.

They are required to age verify when they register on ECCIE. The other note would indicate either the IP address has already registered an account or the email is in use.

I understand what it's saying but in many cases the issue is not the IP address and the email account has never been used to sign up.

It's like a false indication.

I'm passing along information that I have been told.

So I've been told on more several occasions. In some instances after they have tried on a cell phone if a computer is used to sign up they are able to compete registration successfully.

I know that sounds like a case where the IP has already been used but I'm told it never has been used to register on eccie.

I have told these ladies either to create a new email account and address. Then to try again or to email admin@eccie.net for assistance.

Is that the proper course of action?

I'd really like to know if it's true what I have been repeatedly told and if it's possible there is some type of glitch in the system. If they are truely getting this message because of a glitch.

As a Field Service engineer, When I am helping to configure router, switch and firewall. I have notice if IP address keeps popping up; that IP address will get locked out. It will not gain access to that network.

I agree. I have a friend who advertises sometimes on bp that tried to make an account after I told her about eccie. She tried on her computer and phone and it kept saying that there was already another account. Not sure if it was because it registered her ip as me when I was over at her house. But she's given up since even contacting admins didn't help

It shouldn't be that hard if the ECCIE website is getting flase readdings because of an IP it seems the protocol needs to be modified.

On Technical issues, you are suppose to email websupport@eccie.net, not admin@eccie.net.

First, did you record what you were doing when it denied access Did you try different browsers? Did you try turning it off and turning back on?

On Troubleshooting, did you do the three ping tests? Did you turn off the cable modem or DSL modem for three minutes, then turn back on? Did you release your IP address, then renew your IP address? Did you do traceroute? Did you run IPChicken to see what your public IP address is?

This is basic troubleshooting that I do every other day for service tickets.

every device that gets oline, has MAC. With the right access, the remote engineer can see what kind of device it based on the MAC. With some companies, once you register your device; then it may locked the IP address with that device.

It's not an Eccie flaw. Either the IP address or the email address had registered an account before. Unless you have static IP you don't own the IP
