Do you think there has been any difference between the Dems or GOP concerning the Fed? All the parties argue over are wedge issues. I'm not gay , black or a woman so even if the Lib's lose, it does not effect me. These Fed policies do. Are you starting to understand yet? So in summary, I do not care for discrimination and am willing to donate to the party that does the least IMHO. But even if one from your party gets elected, I'm white, male and part of the 1%

You lost me at the part where you think democrats discriminate the least. It's the democrats that have that "plantation mentality" that says black folks have to all think in line with the democrats and if one doesn't (Dr. Carson) he's an uncle tom. WTF, wtf?

I am fully open to the possibility that I'm ignorant on discrimination. I don't personally discriminate against anyone unless they pick my pocket or break my leg, or are muslim. Right wrong or indifferent. WTF I ask this in sincerity... what's something that the republicans have done that would be considered discrimination, or racism. I don't know of anything the folks I follow have done. Ever. However, I"m open to being wrong.

This stupid fuck may very well wind up a LAST term junior senator ... even Texans have a limited tolerance for stupidity. It's a REAL low bar, but Cruz might just trip over it on his way back to Canada.

I have tried to explain to you that not letting Gays marry is discrimination. There are many rights that Civil Unions do not have, that marriages have. That is just a fact. Just because people have a 'belief' that it is wrong , is no excuse to discriminate.

Also, personally, I think I should be able to hire anyone from any country. If they work and pay taxes for a long time with no criminal history, I think they should get fact tracked to citizenship. I think any kids born here in this country are citizens. I do not want to change that law like many on the right want to do. We should be proud that folks want to come to this country to try and make a better life for their families. That is what it is all about. The GOP seems to have a problem with that. I'm not saying it is racist but it sure looks like that could be the case. It appears to be covert to me. Not sure they even understand how racist they look.

I do not disagree with you. I've tried to explain that too. Legal marraige is binding two people together legally under our system. I don't think that has anything to do with christian marriage. Like I've said many times, if it doesn't pick my pocket or break my leg, It should be legal... including gay civil marriage. What I don't agree with is telling a church they MUST marry two people that their faith says is wrong. It would be forcing folks (yet again) to do stuff they don't believe in. For me personally I'll never marry into the legal system in America again. Not ever. I may, however, marry someone in a church and say my vows with the state FAR AWAY FROM ME. Does this make sense? I think we agree on this, if only a little.

The big problem we have is immigrants do not pay taxes of any kind. They bog down our already very crippled health care system with care they will never pay for, and food stamp money is used for shit like lobster. Either make them legal NON TEET SUCKING Americans or deport them. This inbetween stuff doesn't help anyone, including them. I have a friend that's an illegal from ElSalvador. She is constantly afraid she will be deported. She's been here since before she could talk (so no accent of any kind.) This is the only life she knows. She can't get a job paying more than min wage because she's illegal. So in effect by not helping her to be a citizen, we have a hand in keeping her on the very bottom. I get that. She had no say in coming here in the first place. I like the idea of helping them become legal. The politicians don't give a crap, they just want more voters. Isn't there a charity that can help these people that isn't the government?

huh? no taxes of any kind? ... who knew.

Income Tax

Every time you receive a paycheck, you probably notice that something is missing. That’s because your employer automatically withholds federal, state, and local income taxes and Social Security and Medicare taxes. Immigrants also have money automatically deducted directly from their paychecks —even those who are here illegally. But how? Well, the Social Security Administration estimates that 75% of undocumented immigrants are actually on formal payrolls and are paid by check just like anyone else. They get on the payroll by using fake or fraudulent social security numbers or social security numbers of the deceased, which are easily available from counterfeiters for a couple hundred dollars. A growing number of undocumented immigrants now file their income taxes using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs). ITINs are issued by the IRS for filing purposes only and do not provide permission to work. According to the most recent estimates, at least 3 million unauthorized immigrants filed income taxes using ITINs in 2009. (NOTE: the IRS does not report undocumented immigrants to the Department of Homeland Security.)
Sales Tax

Every time you buy something, you pay sales tax. That money goes to state and local governments. Staying at a hotel or renting a car, you pay state and local taxes. If you fill up your gas tank, you automatically pay state and federal gasoline taxes. If you buy liquor or cigarettes, you automatically pay various local, state, and federal excise taxes. Immigrants—legal and undocumented—all buy things, and thus pay these taxes as part of their purchase.
Property Tax

Local governments also collect property taxes, which are a percentage of the value of one’s home and fund services like schools, certain medical services, and police and fire stations. Immigrants—legal and unauthorized—pay these taxes directly if they own a home, or indirectly if they rent (clearly, landlords factor property taxes into rent).

Your citations are proffering "guestimates" at best, and these same sources indicate that illegals underpay taxes -- as a group; hence, they are a burden on the system.

. . . and what say you, CBJ7, about the money that is wired home to families in other countries? Explain how local communities or how the state and federal government benefits from money spent in those other countries, CBJ7.

. . . and what say you, CBJ7, about the rooms and dwellings meant to house a single family being used by five, six or eight families? In such cases, the tax "benefit" to local communities you describe is but a fraction of what it should be; yet, the burden on the local community is five, six or eight times what the illegals are paying for.
