I have expressed my views on this in other threads. Anybody is allowed to shoot their mouth of as much as they want, as long as they are willing to face the consequences.
The First Amendment protects citizens from the Government curtailing their Freedom of Speech. If Bill Maher's actions causes HBO to loose a substantial amount of subscribers, they can terminate him.
I could not care less. He is as affective in his own way in turning Counties Red as Nancy Peloci.

Bill O did not break the law, yet was run off.
This country has very restrictive First Amendment rights.
