He didn’t lose both houses like Obama did. So what’s your point?

Just to clarify.

In the 2010 midterm elections Republicans won control of the House. They won an additional 6 seats in the Senate but did not take control of the Senate. Democrats gained 2 seats in 2012 elections. Republicans did not regain control of the Senate until 2014.

Doesn't really matter. Not much will get done anyway. Remember when the Dems were so proud of themselves and partying it up when they gained the super majority it both houses of Congress? So much so they didn't need a single vote from Republicans and could do whatever they wanted?

Remember when they passed comprehensive immigration reform? Remember when they initiated more gun control laws and reinstated the assault weapon ban? Remember when they balanced the budget? Remember when they ended institutional racism, improved education, made everyone pay their fair share, and created the transparent government that ran fluidly and under budget? All of that stuff that they did when they literally held all of the cards.....

Exactly..........and don't forget how they were going to bring the Country together and end the ethnic and racial divides. Turns out, the Democrats are the biggest instigators when it come to playing class against class, race against race, and ethnic background against ethic background.

Thanks for the American History lesson. Here's some current history, Trump and the House and Senate have had total control for the last two years. What have they done? Nothing but a bunch of talk

Your account of current history is very flawed. The Republicans did not have the 60 votes in the Senate required to "control" the Senate.

You're welcome. However, you obviously did not pay attention to either the statement or to history. During the period I mentioned, the Democrats held enough seats in both the House of Representatives and the Senate to allow them to pass anything that wanted without the support of Republicans. In more simple terms, the did not need a single Republican vote to pass whatever bills they wanted. The only thing they did pass was the ACA, also known as Obamacare (which is also a sticking point for Hillary because she was the one who introduced and pushed for this back in the 90's when she was First Lady). As it has stood for the last two years, the Republicans have held both Houses of Congress, however they did not have the super majority that would allow them to pass whatever they wanted, as the Dems had the ability to do but did nothing with. We can continue this particular history lesson if you like and compare apples to apples. It's simple math: How many seats are their in both houses of Congress? How many seats does a party need to hold in order to pass whatever it wants without the support of the other party? How many seats does said party hold? See? Pretty easy.
