I have to go into detail with this one or it will sound even worse that it was. I was in the "getting to know you" phase of a two hour date. My client was asking questions about my family. I don't mind answering these type of questions. The bad part went like this:

Client: "Are your parents still together?"
Hooker (me): "No."
Client: "Where does your dad live?"
Hooker: "South America."
Client: "Ohhh..is he in the military?"
Hooker: "He is a nazi war criminal."

FOOT IN MOUTH! My client was Jewish! It was a joke, but not a good one to use with someone who you don't know. Oops!

Yes, we were about 40 minutes into a meeting. He knew I was joking. It just wasn't very funny.

Phone ringing is my biggest pet peeve. Someone knocking on the door is probably the biggest mood killer to me.
