Default Impeachment and not able to run again?

Can someone point to an authority that says a president who has been removed cannot run for office again?

I know that during the Ukraine impeachment drama, some Trump supporters said that he could run again in 2024 and make the impeachment and removal a nullity.

But I'm not sure Trump cannot run again.

I can't stand the guy so I am NOT saying that he can or should. So save those criticisms.

I'm just asking OBJECTIVELY if a president who has been impeached and removed is able to be reelected or not - assuming he or she is still eligible for one more term.

I'm not personally aware of any BS they can dream up to invalidate him, unless they can whip up some bullshit to actually lock him up for. TBH, I see it more going down like the exile of Napolean - The swamp Establishment want him gone for good, because he did them a lot of harm as an outsider. They'll probably charge him with something, make him ineligible to run again, but not actually lock him up as part of the "deal". He'll still probably keep his lifetime salary and SS escort like every other former president.

If that doesn't happen, and he can run, it's an incentive for the GOP to step their game up. Smart move would be to pick someone that's establishment that Trump seemed to approve of, and get trump to endorse him so they can get the MAGA votes.

Why would Trump run again? I wouldnt either!
At no point in his Presidency was he ever treated fairly! The left prepared to impeach before he took office!
The lsm bashed him night and day!
libs did not work with him at all on anything!
Hes not gonna run again.

I'm not sure about that. Always assumed anyone who got their lame ass removed from office by impeachment would not have the balls to ever run again. Or that there would be enough of his dumb ass supporters left to vote his ass back in office.

However, in this case, I am afraid there are enough of Trump's lame ass supporters that it is quite possible he would get voted back in.

I have not been in favor of another impeachment because there is no way it can be completed and Trump removed by Jan 20. This would seem to me as being nothing more than a hollow gesture.

But if he is "removed" from office by impeachment after Jan. 20 and it means he cannot ever run for president again, then I would be all for it.

I asked for a nice rational explanation as to why a removed president would be barred from running from office again.

You made it all about Trump because you are a dumb cunt.

So, I will ask it again. And THIS time, pretend the President is someone you never heard of and you don't know what party he or she belongs to.

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.
