A sales term used when you contact past or possible clients to solicit additional sales....

Maybe you've seen the lady before, maybe not. Perhaps you have only inquired with her in the past about the prospect of a meeting but for one reason or another you haven't met yet.
Or...

What if she contacts you with no previous communication of any kind simply based on your posts and location?

She contacts you out of the blue, maybe she's visiting your area, maybe she's running a "special" and wants to let you know about it.

Do you, as the hobbyist/client appreciate it?
Does it make you more inclined to want to see this lady regardless of any "special" simply because she remembered you or your previous dialogue.

And, do you prefer if she contacts you via PM on a site, email or text?
Keep in mind that some gentlemen are not involved with an SO and can receive texts anytime...

I have heard of this occasionally occurring and wondered what ya'll thought of the practice.

It depends......... If it's from a traveling lady who I have seen before or I had contact with. Yeah, a pm is great especially if it is personalized but it doesn't have to be. I have set up a few appointments that way. .

I don't have an SO so a text wouldn't be a problem for me. Still, I am not a fan of unsolicited text. I have received a few happy thanksgiving or happy birthday text. Those are fine as long as they don't read like an ad.

Kinda interesting how our guidelines cover so many situations. I see several of these a week.

#8 - Misuse of our Private Messaging system will result in consequences. You are not to spam members using the PM system. You are not to send invitations to other sites using our PM system. You are not to harass others using our PM system.

cold call ,PM, text , No what a girl needs to do is take her lazy ass to a motel throw up a couple ads on different sites for a 100 bucks , use her suck and fuck skills and the money will come. I'm not talking about you just in general I get way to many text of HI WHATS UP , HI HOW ARE YOU , WANT TO COME SEE ME.

I don't care. I have a hobby phone, and PMs are private. So if she sends me a text/PM when I'm not interested in hobbying, I won't even realize it came across. I just delete it if not interested.

I have to admit - I've had situations where I turned on the hobby phone, saw a text and thought 'Hey, I haven't seen her in awhile.' Then text her and ask her what's up - often times they're running a special of some sort and I've met up with them.

Far more often, I realize the text is days old and I just delete it and move on.

As I said in my first post I have heard of this practice. I can see how it would work for some traveling ladies and ladies who are very very popular to update her friends as to her availability.

I personally don't do it simply because that would mean maintaining a "mailing list" of sorts.
I pretty much do as you said and place an ad when I want to let the gentlemen know I'm ready and waiting for them.

I rarely contact any of my gentlemen friends unless they initiate the conversation, I don't want to ever seem intrusive or pushy.
well that, and I rarely run any specials or travel.
