This is just a general "thing" with the human race.
I can't tell you how many times I've stood behind a bar, talking to a guest sitting right in front of the beer pulls, only to answer the time honored question, " what do you have on tap?"

But, when working on tips, personality and attitude, the best form of action was to reply in a manner that wouldn't get me fired or stiffed on the tab.
