The nitpicking has begun by those who wouldn't do anything
I predicted that if DJT doesn't do everything by the Nth degree then the left will attack him for NO keeping his promises. He hasn't even taken office yet and it has begun. On 60 Minutes, Trump said that parts of the wall (which, remember the left is against) may be completed with a good fence. So now the word is if there is not a solid, concrete wall running from Brownsville to San Diego then Trump lied about the wall. Same thing about those pesky illegal aliens. If Trump doesn't try to find every single alien and is only happy to deport the criminals and make it impossible for the other to get legal jobs then he lied about getting all the illegals out. This is what I expect we will see for the next 4-8 years. Funny how they don't hold those who say "if you like your doctor, then you can keep your doctor" to the same standard.

I've been on this forum a short time but in that time that's all I've heard about Obama. Nit picking about everything.
Yes, Trump gave us a campaign promise, stressed many times, that he would deport ALL illegal aliens and make them apply for legal entry into the country. If he does not do so, he broke his promise and people should determine for themselves how important each "lie" is.
If he does not complete the wall by re-election time, he will have failed on another VERY important campaign promise. To me, it doesn't have to be a "very tall wall" as promised.
You also forgot his campaign promise to name a special prosecutor to bring Hillary Clinton to justice for all of her crimes. In the interview, he first avoided answering the question as to whether or not he was still planning to do so, and when asked again, it sounded like he was now not planning to do so. This won't make the "Lock her up" crowd very happy.
In a short 2 years there will be the first election which will be a mid-term report card on Trump. I think someone posted a list of he objectives in his first 100 days in office, a rather aggressive list. Hopefully voters will look at his accomplishment or lack thereof and assess his progress to that point fairly.

You've always been wrong and you'll be wrong again.
yeah, I noticed that. a lot of the protesters were denouncing "white privilege".
I have to wonder if they know what white privilege was.
White privilege is getting to eat and pay your taxes if you work for a living. Other than that, you get the privilege of the government founded by your forefathers discriminating against you in hiring, admissions, and government contracts.
I'm hearing some of the same crap from some of my liberal friends who voted for Clinton. Like Trump is really a Democrat, he is backing away from his campaign promises, you are going to be very disappointed, etc. It all sounds like sour grapes to me.
On the subject of illegal immigration, yes Trump did talk about massive deportations early in his campaign. But his position evolved some throughout the campaign. He consistently said let's secure the border and deport the criminal illegal aliens first, then we will figure out what to do with the rest of them, during the last few months of the campaign.
On the subject of prosecuting Hillary, at the appropriate time his attorney general can look at the evidence and then decide whether a special prosecutor needs to be appointed. I personally hope they do go after her. It's time that bitch paid the piper.
Let's give our new President a chance. He has not even taken the oath of office yet. Most Americans were willing to give Obama a chance when he was elected in 2008. Trump will not have a filibuster proof margin in the Senate, so he will have to work with the Democrats which will mean some compromises will have to be made.
So, to all the nitpickers out there, I say the election is over, your candidate lost, and you need to get over it and move on.
