The positive reviews are one of two things: a satisfied customer that wants to talk about it, and a manager with a fake positive and glowing review who wants to talk about a lady who works for him. A negative review is about not just a negative, or halfway experience: it is truly about a really negative experience, or the guy kinda hides it as a kinda positive. Read between the lines.
Skewed means that the reviews are not really representative of the number of total visits. They kinda tell the story, and are useful, but are not representative of what you would truly expect.
What the hell do I mean, is this double talk? No, just read it and think for yourself. Don't believe everything you read. If a girl gets several reviews, read them all before making a decision.

I see a parallel then to buying stuff online.
If 100 people have each bought said wicket, and the reviews are all across the spectrum. A bunch of 5s, a bunch of 4s, a few 3s, and one 1.
I read the 1s, 2s and 3s. And try to imagine if those customers really knew what they were doing with it. Or do their descriptions really paint an inferior product?
Often when buying a product online, I come to the conclusion that 25% of these products are of minimal quality or not suited to the application. That is just the risk you take.
With this hobby, I can see where it is a service. More than a product.
On any given day, a person could be grouchy and short, or she could be cheerful and energetic. It is really more a roll of the dice.
With any personal service, I need to be on my best behavior as a customer, AND my service provider needs to be on her best behavior. Only if we are both in good moods and energetic, are we going to have optimum fun.
