It sounds like having specific threads in the Sandbox mixed in with the regular threads would be a little messy when just splitting them off into a separate forum (which it feels like you'd be effectively trying to do anyways) would make it cleaner and easier?

i don't think the Sandbox needs any changes.

just create an additional forum called The "Nice" Sandbox ..or some shit like that.

We aren't trying to "solve" anything. The Sandbox today is working exactly as designed. And I'm quite content to "live with it". A suggestion was made for a change and we are all discussing it. Pretty simple really.

Did you want to add any actual value to the discussion of thread?

CC, do you have your answer? Just look at the thread suggesting a special section for civil discussion.

Once in awhile we have several civil posts in a row. It's a refreshing breath of fresh air. Maybe it would be worth a try to designate certain threads as "civility zones". Might be fun. Right now, the way some people on here come unglued is quality entertainment, but to actually discuss an issue would also be fun.
