Default Does Your Photographer Give Good Service?

Amazing images are half the battle. Personalized service is the other half. If you show up at your shoot with no previous consultation and complete your shoot with no post consultation, you photographer has left you hanging.

What if there was a photographer who not only consulted with you as if you were a beauty queen before and after your shoot? What is he/she helped in the selection process of your photos?

Now we're talkin...

Not to knock you Meeshee or your attempts at advertising yourself on here.
But the fact is finding good photographers is quite easy finding great ones a little bit harder.

But most the real good and great ones do have a excellent reputation for asking their clients what they are looking for directing them toward stuff they may like better or will work better for them.

My purpose here is to interact with others which I enjoy. I do not consider your comments to be offensive because all opinions are purely subjective.

grtrader is absolutely correct - finding a great photographer is not easy. Today's decent digital equipment makes it easy to shoot good photographs, but it takes a great photographer (or a lot of luck) to shoot great photographs.

I am a damned good photographer - award winning and published - but I don't happen to be very good with people pics. My forte is not people. I do shoot photos for ladies I know and who ask me to do it as a favor, but I know my limitations.

I think the best thing for a lady to do is look at photos other providers have on their websites and ask them who does their photography.

Good luck.

Mike

I think you're right. Ladies do look at other sites and inquire about photographers whose work they admire. That seems to be the protocol.

I love art photography and would love to have more time to get more into it. I definitely have an eye for it but chose this niche for my career. I also love photographing children and animals. They are so candid and capturing their spirit is so spontaneous. Heck, I even like photographing food.

I'm happy to hear that you're published and have achieved notariety. It makes me very happy whenever a photographer finds success and therefore satisfaction with his/her work.

Best of luck

I wasn't trying to say you were good or great or one or the other maybe I could have separated that better.

I was simply saying most the high end ones I know do the part of talking to their clients trying to see what all they want and stuff. But, I have heard a few models refer to photographers that are extremely good photographers a being demanding, and mean and a lot worse.

Just because photographer is fantastic or great doesn't mean a person's experience with them will be that. Secondly, photographers styles can play a lot into it. I answered a post someone had about a bad hotel photograph shoot and I listed 2 different photographers to make the point how different styles can be.

The art and process of photography should be fun and easy. If a lil exertion is involved to get the right look, that's ok, too.

I won't say regardless one way or another who I am referring to just like I am not here to say how good or bad someone's work is when it comes to photography.

It is up to the person shopping for it to judge if that is what they want.

I do occasionally point out friends such as in case like the one were the photographer was blatantly ripping the person off. To make the point equal and better photographers can be found for a lot less.

Hi Meeshee,

The answer is: YES! I have worked with "my" photographer for about 5 years now and I never paid a dime. Ask me why? I am model so he is willing to provide me pictures in exchange for my time aka TFP. TFP doesn't stand for what most of people probably are thinking right now but time for prints.
