Why is there a need to have abortion laws ?

Here's a little graph on number of Abortions in individual states starting in 2012 to 2022. I am surprised at the numbers and you can bet that many of them are late term.

Possibly some rational responses will follow as to why abortion laws need to exist.

There should be no abortion laws. Medical guidelines and standards, yes. But no government intervention in medical decisions.

Lotta posturing by old white men but very little input from women in this forum.
