Exclamation Empty

No, you can relax about that scare tactic. That is merely an empty threat.

. . . An escort agency does not have police protection to conduct illegal activities and they know better than to call attention to their business.

Default Define....

..."bad service"...

Also, in what state did this occur, and where is the agency based?

Escort agencies in many states are legal. And, if they are keeping their ducks in a row--taxes, etc--they may have full authority. However, not to call the police--no more than a construction company could call the police because you won't pay until they complete/repair bad work. This is not a communist nation. The best they could do is sue you in small claims court, as all other legitimate businesses can.

This is all bearing they are not breaking pandering laws.

Congratulations! Not paying full price for a bad experience or ripoff means that one of your testicles has finally dropped. To get the other one to drop, you should write a review. Warn others.

Default When I worked for an agency...

I was responsible for any uncollected money--basically, they got their share no matter what. The owner was 1000 miles away, so maybe that had something to do with it. Since they are backing her like that, I would imagine your experience was isolated.

Not to rub your nose in it, but it's really not appropriate to not pay. That's what reviews are for. Just my two cents.

Exclamation Point of View

Really?

Even if the customer gets poor or no service he is required to pay?

. . . It all depends on your point of view, but what school of business advises paying for bad service?

I had the cops called on me by an escort service. Granted they may have had a gripe, and for sure I did. But I got ripped off by a lady and I made chase as she ran off, her driver had me up on the car as he left, and I called them back and said some objectionable things. Cops showed up, said the agency called because I threatened them, and they asked my intentions. Sure enough it was a legit escort agency in the cops eyes and I was the problem, but the cops visited just after 4:20am if you know what I'm saying, scared the shit out of me, I'm outside smoking a cig and return to cops knocking on the door. I was intent on having the cops leave without taking me with them.

Point is if the agency will rip you off they'll play ball which could include lying to and/or pre-arranging police protection and/or involvement. I don't think it would ever hold up in court but it could fuck up your day, as far as weighing the savings go. That said, kudos on not paying, depending on what you mean by bad service. In my case she took the money and did nothing.

The OP did not state:
-if it was independent or an agent
-parameters of the bad experience
-how/when he paid
-if he paid any at all or none

These things all matter. Traditionally, payment is taken up front. It is ill-advised to not do this working under an agency, since they always get their cut.

Did she steal or cause a problem? Or was she just not his cup of tea? If the latter is true, he should have left at the door--customarily paying a percentage for her trouble.

Was this a credit card transaction that he cancelled? Or did she leave him to pay at the end in good faith?

What was the difference he owed?

This situation can be debated ad nauseam unless these facts are known. Even then, it's still not cut and dry since there is no regulation. As much as we would all love to practice this as a legit business, there are no rules really.

I'm quite sure you never would have made it in my door, not would I go through yours, so this would be a non-issue for us.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you study up this site, and read A HUGE PORTION OF NEWBIE ADVICE that the good gentlemen of this site have taken the time to write based on their experiences. There are a lot of unanswered questions here as PhillyChik has pointed out. However it NEVER should have got to this,as instructions on handling of donation, should have been discussed and I would assume taken care of upon meeting. At the same time research should have been done to ensure that you were EDUCATED IN THIS HOBBY, and chose a lady in good standing that more than likely would be a good match to you. Better wishes to you, and a better time in the future.

Jayyyyyysus---this stuff never amazes me. I just thought that after like age 25 most folks behaved professionally and adult like.
