I don't think he is writing an article and his post sounded very sincere. I think he like many of us, just wonder from time to time why people are really here. Like you said Chella, it is not exactly going to garner many responses from people who are addicted to drugs etc. No one would ever want to admit that, but what you see on these boards is not the norm of what escorting is like for many women. There are many who are in fact trapped, forced, or just can't see a way for them to get out, and thank god for the white knights who make their lives a little easier by letting them know they still have value as a human being.

Mentally is where I struggle the most with this business as I am not one for greed, attention etc. There is nothing lacking in my civie life that makes me lust for that need for approval, nor do I find much inspiration in the hobby. I have been fortunate to meet some wonderful men who have helped me more than I could ever say, and for that I am thankful. OTOH there have been some serious a holes who just make you wonder who the real wh*re is.

Very intuitive Trekker...was thinking of all those things in my mind as I wrote that. Also, I don't want my child to get the idea that shacking up with a different guy every year is what I want for her. I try to live by example rather than preaching, so I just pray she never gets wind of what I am doing now. I think I would have to be honest with her about my reasons, but I would never want this for her. I don't think many of you would ever want this life for your daughter either knowing just what men are thinking and doing to them.

I also believe in that old saying, "Why buy the cow if you are getting the milk for free." It takes away the whole fantasy and excitement about getting married, buying a home together, picking out decor etc. I want that fantasy and I will not settle for less. I won't die if I am alone for a while

I am not writing a article, as I said human behavior, or lets say human consequence has always interested me. People are who they are and I do not judge not believe in judging, because everybody has different stories, many are themselves victims of circumstance beyond their control and are in situations making it the best they can. As I said, I from a very young age 6-7 years old grew up around the adult entertainment industry, I have seen just about anything you can imagine from a sexual stand point. Our family background was catholic, I had many cousins that were female whose fathers ran strip clubs, under ground porn shops etc. No one better ever mention in front of one of these guys what would you think if your daughter did this, because they would kill you. It was like a double standard, they did not mind pimpin' out other peoples daughters, wives , mothers, but do not even think like that about theirs. It was like one big hipocracy. I think many of us were raised in homes that had basic christian values. I do not think most of us came up with the moral idea of being a person that solicits prostitution, or I can not imagine a young girl aspiring to be a whore one day, but things happen and that is the way it is. Many guys out here like myself sex is a weakness. I was exposed to so much that you can not even begin to approach a respectable woman in socities eyes with the things going through my mind. I know guys that have lost everything they have or ever will have on women. I have also seen guys lose 45K on the roll of a dice. I have seen high end escorts making 30K a week with a 3K a day Cocaine habit. My point is usually everybody has a vice many have more than one. Most people can not help but lose control, and at that point your life changes forever.

Good thread, Slick.... one of the better that I've seen in quite a while! I have been pleasantly surprised with many of the replies!! I have a feeling that we are all aware that we share a "hobby-vice-habit" that can get out of control if you have other questionable "vice-habits".

The question appears to be.... which vice-habit guides the others?

Maybe the Mans need for Sex, addiction, very high sex drive, out of the norm fetish or desires or whatever, drives him to seek out prostitutes if he isnt allowed an open relationship at home or given enough sex, or openmindedness in the bedroom.

Maybe the providers need for material things, or other bad habits, drives her to be in this profession, to support whatever it is she is needing, whether its rent or getting lit, handbags, shoes, travel, college, etc.

Maybe in a poll...anonymous, you may get the answers you are seeking here. That way honesty can be taken into account.

It was really hard for me to admit Im an attention whore, always have been. What can I say, I was spoiled rotten as a child, LOL.

Ugg Muff!! The NET SUX!! Seriously, I had an ex bf whose vice was a web cam and whacking off to whomever would watch him! We rely so much on the net for everything. As I stated before, you can be anything you want to be on the net. Very deceptive INDEED!

Slickback, I'm just going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're Italian by way of heritage. The mentality of all Sicilian men is that their daughters are princesses.

I only let people in on my profession on a need to know basis... and, believe me, there are few people that are on that list. I don't have steady boyfriends, because it is really rather exhausting to juggle your civilian lifestyle and provider lifestyle. That's sometimes kind of lonely, but as long as you have a good network for friendship and family, it has it's pros too.

Kaylee, I lived with a boyfriend for half a year... And, I'll never do it ever again. I agree that I want to be given the opportunity to build a life with someone once we're together. Like, really together. I don't want to play house. That sucks. Plus, while his name was on the lease, I ended up paying rent in full for at least half the time we were together, because he lost his job. It made me truly resent him... on top of not getting laid.

My reason, I had a high sex drive. Not so much now. I have be married for 29 years. Twentyfive years ago my wife had a historectery. She lost ALL of her sex drive. I love her very much. I would never leave her. But I do need some sex. Thats why I am here.
