As time goes on, one day we wake up and find ourselves in a career. Some people are in the career they planned for their self from the beginning, due to circumstance beyond their control people find themselves doing something they would have never imagined. Many providers offer different levels of service, but more importantly some providers truely put everything into being a provider, where others talk the talk, but do not walk the walk, and in those situations I have often wondered, Why is this person doing this ?? Because obviously they are not enjoying it, and neither is the client.

Most I find are in Medical School, Nursing school or budding lawyers in law school looking to make extra cash. I have run into a provider who also said she was in training for the NASA space program!

Some are here getting through school, some for lavish accomodations, some working moms whose 9-5 just is not cutting it, some forced, some for drug money etc. Then you have the exceptional lady who is established and confident in her sexuality, like Dallas who TRULY just loves the sex. Anyone naive enough to believe that every girl here actually wants to be here is delusional, as that is just not the case. I know many genuine guys who can spot those girls out and take really good care of them, without taking advantage of them.... they deserve nothing but the best in life for doing that. Just because someone has a problem does not mean they are not a human being anymore, and they should not be taken advantage of.

I asked a similar question on ASPD a year or two ago. Several ladies gave their stories and I was quite impressed. None were forced into it or strung out trying to feed habits. Most had decent educations and started because they had a friend who did it and got them to try it. Once they tried it, they liked it. Some did it part-time, other full-time, but they all said they loved the sex and they didn't want to give that up. Some look at each client as a separate boyfriend, of which she has several in many cities so they end up enjoying the company of that client and they stay in it. One did it to help pay off a large medical bill and has since paid that off plus her house. Of course, the money is the major factor, but for most, if you took the money away, they would still have to have a lot of sex to stay satisfied.

I am the total opposite of what you described Dave. I feel that I have literally had enough sex that I could "easily" go six months without it, and it would not bother me. It goes back to that intimacy thing which is more important to me than the physical act.

I do enjoy sex, but to lie and say I enjoy it 24/7 with every client I see, is just not me. If I am depressed because I lost my dog, tired, bloated, etc. I am not going to feel like doing it, but do it anyway because it is a business. If I have a 9-5 and need that check, I still have to get up and go to work regardless of how I feel, so that's where it gets complicated. This is so much different than any other profession, in that your body and mental state are always a factor in your performance. My body is not wired to be horny all the time or at per se 1 oclock, come appt. time. I enjoy it with maybe 2 out of 5 clients, and that's just the plain truth.

NO ONE is going to admit they are here because they have no other choice, because they know it will hurt their business if they say, "No I hate everyone I see." It's basically asking, "Do you enjoy what you do," and of course the answer is always yes. Even Jenna Jameson has admitted going home many nights crying after she fell in love and had to be with other men, and she was/is the ultimate porn star of her time.

So it's a spin on Chella's question, "Do you really want honesty from a provider?" I would say that most don't. I have never seen a website that said, "Look I don't want to be here but my ex left me with 3 hungry kids, a mortgage, and a ton of bills I can't pay." We are all going to pretend to love everyone we are with, and if the acting is so good that you can't tell, you get what you desire....a fantasy.

Kaylee, I will agree with you here. I actually turned part time, because I got a bit burnt out. Any day, I'm coming back full force. I just have to prepare my body and mental state for what that may entail. This may be quick money, but it is not always easy money. That is the truth. I'd like to think that many guys could pick up on that without it being said.

Honestly, I started doing it, because I wanted to move out of Texas. I'll be the first to say that, if it were not to be there for my Mom in a time of emotional need, I would have stayed in Louisiana. My love affair with that state is far greater than any I've ever had with a boy, especially with the city of New Orleans. Since I was a little girl, there has been nothing more fascinating than just sitting and watching the busy traffic. The craziest little things happen when you play I spy. The people are wonderfully kind and like no other. And, even though "fast food", street signs, and fixing streets is ancient lore, I can't help but love it.

That's actually kind of ironic, because I started to get out of nola and move to Florida so I could take care of my parents. Not to mention schools suck, the city is dirty, and crime kept getting worse. I love to visit but would never live there again after having a child.

I'm with ya there. I love (some) things about NOLA, and I've moved away and back several times. But I don't think I'm moving back again. Pretty much everyone I know has moved after finishing school or is moving when they're done with school (many of them right over here to Dallas).

I started because I love to travel, but travel is expensive. I figured this way I could travel AND actually MAKE some money at the same time. And I could fully devote my "downtime" between trips to school and my extensive list of time-consuming hobbies (and hanging out doing absolutely nothing all day long with my trust-fund kid friends. Something I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise since my parents weren't bankrolling me... damn them lol)

So basically... because I wanted to live a life of leisure while young instead of hearing from older people all the time how they "wish they had partied and relaxed more when they were younger..." (seriously, I have heard this like EVERY. DAY. while growing up) and regretting it later.

I relate to a lot of the things you said V. I too prefer not to work in this venue full time...couldn't even if I wanted to. I love to travel and like you, have found that making a few grand in a couple of days in a beautiful place you are paid to visit, beats trying to sift through the ashes in your home town. It was too demanding trying to arrange time off of work just for a couple appts. per week, so now I just tour wherever my co. sends me. I am in sales, and I am IN sales

I also find that many towns pay more than others, so I tend to visit those again and again rather than conform to the rates of where I live.

Boca Raton would love to have you, so look me up if you ever need some beach time.

No need to try and psychoanalyze it, everyone has a different reason. I dont really think it matters to the guys really, that would ruin the fantasy ya think. Do you really want to know that provider you are with was the victim of abuse, or homeless, etc? Nah didnt think so. Ive only met a few who havent had some major stuff in the past going on. The reasons you have seen thus far are those who are just lucky, but you havent seen the "ugly" of it I guarantee!

I started because I did not want a relationship, I just wanted the sex - lol. I do this part time, it allows me to travel, keeps me happy, pays for itself, generates extra cash flow.

If I did this full time or this was my sole income, I probably would not enjoy it as much. As it stands now, I get to do who and what I like (yes there are people you literally can NOT pay me to see) so I have yet to suffer the burn out. I still love to play.

*Used to live in Cocoa Beach, half a block from the sand. Watched a sea turtle lay her eggs (touched her too! man they are huge), stood in my yard and watched two shuttles take off (really huge) and saw a water spout once (thought: Dang I thought I left tornadoes in TN!)*
