Hello Chorpus visiting for first time next week and would love any suggestions on restaurants and some where to have a drink and maybe some dancing with my friend Galleria sunshine..

Corpus does not have any restaurants that really go beyond the rank of normality. The Astor is an old time restaurant and has a pretty good steak at a decent price. Water Street seafood used to be good but has fallen to the normal status. There are several seafood restaurants in Port Aransas but nothing exceptional and overpriced. In all reality the best restaurant in Corpus as per the food is the Palace on Everhart just south of Holly. The taquerias are the best bang for the buck. The Republic of Texas on the top floor of the Omni hotel is decent but figure at least $60 per person.

Depending on what type of dancing you like my spots are Whiskey River for country music or Gemini for an upscale fun time ( https://www.geminicc.net/events ). If you like live bands, look up the schedule of what Brewsters Street Ice House has going on. Hope you enjoy your visit.
