WordNothing: "90% of any article regarding test results on the F 35 are negative."

Now, BL, "knows" why I asked for his source. It's in the 10%!

Just trying to make sure his source wasn't published by the Russians!

Apparently your dementia keeps you from remembering who called names first.

If I am a little guy then you must be another 400 pound lard ass on this forum.

Then if you thought I was defending it you were way off track.

Manufacturer, politician bullshit.
Any F-35 pilot who ever gets into a close-in maneuvering fight with an F-16 (or F-14 or F-15 or F-18, etc.) is a piss-poor pilot. The F-16 should be dead before he has a clue there is an F-35 sharing the sky with him.

Having said that, the rest of your F-35 comments are correct.

You're opinion is based on Nintendo warfare and ...

.... one "F-16" not equipped with counter-measures ...

.... and an F-35 with sufficient fuel reserves.

Current criticisms cast doubt on the reliability of the electronics built into the F-35, which has been plagued with problems, including a recent fire in the "armaments bay." By the time it's "pilot-o-pilot" (meaning "one pilot" against the other one) it appears the F-16 wins.

The primary discussion and concern being expressed initially in this thread is the reality, which is the limited range of the F-35 for the mission in the forseeable future that will require the F-35 to approach pre-selected targets from a substantially greater distance than the opposition defensive aircraft, which will be further aggravated by the carrier launching the F-35 to be sufficiently far away to at least frustrate surface-to-surface missiles that have been deployed and are operational with more being tested "daily" based on the FAILURES of the immediate past administration to prevent their development and deployment, along with warheads to put on top of them. Obaminable allowed the boils to fester as he kicked the can down the road and allowed the Russians to enter the theaterS and provide cover for the bad guys. The Clintons did the same.

So basically, posters are debating the merits of the aircraft, but LLephantMan wants to shit on Obama.

Why not the new golfer in chief?

Donald Trump Doesn't Want Anyone To Know How Much Time He Spends Playing Golf

https://www.google.com/amp/deadspin....1792611828/amp

As Donald Trump makes the transition from rich dipshit golf club owner to rich dipshit golf club owner with a side gig as President of the United States, the poor guy has to make a number of lifestyle concessions. Now, he can only go to Mar-a-Lago on the weekend, and he’s spent only three out of the five weekends he’s been in charge of the country golfing. Everyone sacrifices for the greater good in their own way, I suppose.

The New York Times published a report this afternoon on how Trump spends his time away from the White House, and it involves a lot of golf. He’s spent one-fifth of his days as president on a golf course, where he definitely does not cheat at all. The volume of Trump’s retreats to the safety of his golf course still isn’t as intriguing as the utter secrecy that surrounds them. We know that he swung a big stupid club with Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe last week, but that appears to be the only remotely diplomatic outing he’s taken. Besides Abe, Ernie Els, and Rory McIlroy, nobody knows who exactly Trump’s been playing with because the White House won’t tell anybody:

The Trump administration does not disclose his golf partners, except for the day he played with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan and the South African pro, Ernie Els, about which Mr. Trump tweeted himself. It declines even to confirm Mr. Trump is actually swinging at a tee when his motorcade disappears behind the towering palm trees and crested gates of his clubs.

Trump’s deputy press secretary said that Trump and McIlroy only played a “couple of holes” this weekend, only to be contradicted by an interview McIlroy gave where he said that they played a full 18 holes and that Trump was a “decent player.” The White house later clarified that he “intended to play a few holes and decided to play longer.”

Trump, who is extremely good at golf, goes to absurd lengths to keep the press from seeing him play:

The White House goes to considerable lengths to keep Mr. Trump’s golf game away from scrutiny. When he plays in West Palm Beach, the press corps that follows him is diverted to a parking lot at a public library across the street. When he played in Jupiter, reporters were sequestered in a clubhouse meeting room that would have offered a picturesque view of the green, except that the windows and doors were taped with black plastic.
If you have video of Donald Trump playing golf, please send it to us at tips@deadspin.com.

Here you go. There is an interesting note in the article:
"The ability of fifth-generation US aircraft to detect threats and send that information to legacy planes meets an urgent need for the US military."

So?

I'll take the DOD report with data from pilots and flight engineers over a "business journal" hype that is struggling to boost the stocks of an aircraft manufacturer, whose ass is not on the line to survive entering and escaping combat.

Even you own post reveals the flaw:

.."detect threats and send that information to legacy planes" ...

A major flaw reported to the DOD is electronics failure and even a fire on board in a ordinance bay while in flight by a Marine pilot toward the end of last year. That type of problem is critical to all the aircraft on the carrier and the carrier itself, and most importantly the carrier crew!

Such a fire devastated the carrier from which McCain flew.

Frankly, I don't give a rat's ass about some aircraft manufacturer's stock values or future contracts. That's a major issue with the DOD and politicians trying to run the military with the help of the lobbyists.

A major note Lexus, what you expect the F-35 be and do appears to be a lot different from what the US military expects and wants. Based on the report the plane performed exactly as the military wanted. Whether or not that is a good plan is snother discussion

Apparently you didn't read the DOD report. "Major note"???? LOL

But I hope your stock in Martin hits the cellar, because you are what ails the system .... investors pumping the wares of the recipient of their investments .... and piss on the men and women who must operate the "product" in real time, live fire operations when their asses are on the line!

I guess you were all teary eyed about the Humvees produced during the Clinton administration just in time for the 2003 invasion! They look like "mean machines" on the streets around Houston! How's your AM General stock been doing and back in 2003?
