Default Recipes Anyone?

I seem to recall a little while back, there was a thread (anyone can find and post, thanks) that bailey or someone started talking about food recipes.

My favorites tv shows and channels are about food, and cooking food.

Some Hobbyists and Providers and I were talking recently about baking. Mostly about bread and using bread oven or regular ovens and types of bread. not enough bakeries anymore either.

While talking with providers, I find some like this subject too, and talk about either being on the road or work making it hard to do home cooking, and get tired of take out or eating out. I know the feeling from traveling so much for work.

When I get the chance I like to cook for family and friends. My self I can be a very picky eater, so I try different things and look for new recipes to try.

Figured I see if I could get more unique recipes from here. Last thread had lots of good ones. pics are great too.

Thumbs up

Yay I am so glad this is back thank you SMS. Even though my cooking has caught up to me a little and it's all diet and exercise for Bailey I still like cooking for others. Here are some recent ones. If anyone wants any of the recipes please feel free to pm me.

Authentic style fish tacos with a great green sauce and cole slaw.

Hammered chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese & jalapenos wrapped in bacon.

A-mazing scalloped potatoes.

Juicy lucy (stuffed burger).

French onion soup at home.

Thai chicken and vegetable soup with coconut milk and ginger broth.

I have made a pecan crusted mahi mahi that I pan sear on a pat of butter with steamed mixed veggies. Quick and easy and Eats good too. If I can figure out how to attach photos I will.......Feeling technologically challenged right now ....But wait I is an Aggie so its OK ...lol

I've had the great fortune and delight to cook a few meals with a member of the board. Definitely memorable meals.

Have you ever tried Dutch Oven cooking? There are a multitude of recipes for this method and you can google them easily enough. I used to only consider them for when I went camping but a good cast iron dutch oven works anywhere.

You can buy them at most sporting goods stores for under $50 depending upon the size you want. The cooking properties are amazing because you also place some of the wood/charcoal you are burning on the top of it to create a even heat above and below.

I have made some great meals this way and it is a novel way of cooking. Once you become proficient at home you can easily take this on the road with you for an outing and be a culinary hero.
