I HATE this Banner Ad.

It is ABSOLUTELY offensive to us women.

Anyone that disagrees....needs to get a clue.
It is the most stupid ad I'VE ever seen.

Sorry, but it's been bothering me for a while.

I actually get enraged every time I see it.

Dont think the The mods have nothing to do with paid advertising on the site. Might want to direct your feedback a bit higher. And good luck with that.

I understand your mention of how the MODS can NOT affect the advertising....but the unfortunate thing is that going to a higher source is basically impossible on this board.

I guess I am just venting.......and using my frustration to direct me.....to eventually leave this board.

"Offensive content" is part and parcel of this site, frankly. There are opinions, views and statements that are so ludicrous as to make the head ache. BUT...we allow them, because choosing to be offended is a personal choice.

Torre - there are a TON of stupid ads on the internet, and pretty much on every adult site out there.

If you can't get banner blindness like about 96% of the internet population, you can try an ad blocker for your browser.

The TOTALLY sad thing....is that if the "owner" of ECCIE allows this type of advertising (not to mention the young girls in the side bar ALL THE TIME.......only leads me to think....that Pimps are beginning to dominate.

Adblockplus. Get the add on for FF or chrome. Right click anything you want to vanish and never be bothered with it again.

yes....there are much more offensive ads out there on other websites. To each their own and trashy people want to become part of it.....more power to them.

I chose ECCIE because I thought it had SOME class (to an extent.....even ASPD got a bit raunchy at times with ads)

It just doesn't represent the type of site I want to advertise on.

One thing to note on banners, and it may or may not apply here, is that oftentimes a website owner sells rotating banner space to an ad agency and that agency makes the ad choice, not the site owner.

Site owners can control the type of ad say guns only; cars only; adult only; but they may not have specific knowledge of what ads are running.

Since the particular ad being discussed seems to be in that "rotating" ad space, I would guess that's what is happening here.

LOVE that term - "Banner Blindness" - I usually have it but the ad she's referring to hard to not see.

Short answer yes, sometimes things creep by but easy to resolve with a couple clicks.... Try it out all free and if you don't like it can always remove and go back.
