Everyone knows the reason why. Few or none will perform there due to Trump renaming it.
Even fewer will buy tickets.

The same goes for the White aHouse Ball rRoom.

Whatever: If those projects are not finished by 2028, the incoming Republican will see that they get done.

Finished or nm ot . . .the next Democrat in the Oval Office will have to dismantle a thousand miles of the Trump border wall. . . .and the next Republican president will re-build it.

You assume a lot by saying the NEXT GOP President will finish those projects……you have absolutely no way of knowing who will win at this time.

Further……any Dem coming in should forget the stupid wall. And get qualified people to re-examine what needs to be done to fix the Trump destruction of an iconic building, the East Wing, (with no approval from any apolitical government agencies.) Same with the Kennedy Center, if Trump doesn’t ruin that further.

John F. Kennedy was an extraordinary President he was the symbol of America. Apparently, Trump wants to destroy that. Trump nor anyone else has the right or authority to tamper with America's history. Although Trump is temporary, in 2028 we'll have another self-absorbed jerk in the White House.

As for Trump, he had to close the Kennedy Center out of embarrassment.

I do have a positive view of the 2028 election.

I have an equally positive view of the ne construction and renovation projects for the Trump-Kennedy Center and the White House Ballroom.

It is mu belief that President /trump will leave his indelible mark on both institutions.

And the border wall: My recollection is that the previous administration spent a huge amount of political energy dismantling what had been built already . . .and coupled that with implementing policies that brought in millions of foreign nationals without screening of any kind.

It has nothing to do with the border wall. What I would like explained is what does Trump have to do with the Kennedy Center and why he feels his name should be associated with it.

The topic is why President Trump is renovating the Kennedy Center. I believe that he wants to leave his mark on major national projects that much like naming real estate developments as "Trump this or that" will for many years be associated with his name if not formally named after him.

I used "Trump's Border Wall" as an example of that strategy on the part of President Trump. Another example of this strategy would be the renovation of The Rose Garden. All of these projects are connected in that President Trump is ensuring that the leftist media will for decades now, always include a reference to his name whenever reporting on an event act those venues.

That is how these projects are related snd why mention of them is related to the topic of this thread.
