Safeguarding the Newbie Providers
There's all this concern about either mods or male clients taking advantage of a young newbie provider whose new to everything on both this board and the industry itself.
I thought, why not assign/create a female POC for newbie providers?
For example, create a sticky thread in Welcome and Introductions that's titled:
Point of Contacts for new female Providers/Members
And then in the thread post a list of established providers who are willing to help their fellow providers.
This would be a thread started by a female provider in the board, than someone in the staff sticky's it in Welcome/Introduction.
The thread would be like...
If your new to the industry and need help with getting started or want to talk to someone about things already going on in the industry, we would be happy to help.
Contact any of us at anytime if you have any questions if you're a new "working girl" or have any questions or need help.
Provider XXXXXXX
http://www.eccie.net/providers.php?do=view&id=XXXXX
Provider XXXXXXX
http://www.eccie.net/providers.php?do=view&id=XXXXX
Provider XXXXXXX
http://www.eccie.net/providers.php?do=view&id=XXXXX
The reason I suggest this again is because all we see talk about is vulnerable providers and alot of times they're young and don't know where to go to or even start to look for help.
And, there does seem to be providers who are eager to help:
exhibit A
exhibit B
I know a situation where one provider was considering moving to San Antonio, but she indicated she didn't really know anybody here. For her, the challenge, wasn't her age or length of experience in the industry, but a language barrier. I spoke to a particular provider about helping her get situated if she ever comes back to San Antonio. And that provider agreed.
But yeah, why not create such a sticky thread in welcome/introductions for the n00b female providers? A new provider practically pops up everyday, and really this can apply to any city.
I don't freaking know, a suggestion, ijs....

Its a great suggestion for those who need the help and guidance and for those willing to and have the time to help. The biggest issue for so many women is getting the word out. This board only goes so far and only a small percentage of the women find this place and that is mostly due to clients who go see them and bring them here.
Ive helped out many ladies in my years of providing. I have trained them in the business and helped others out of it when they were ready to move on. Many ladies on this board have offered to help the new gals and very often offer advice on a regular basis. But for a young lady very new to this whole world I think the guidance need be more in depth than just what is outlined by the OP BUT it is a good start, I think, and Im certain many new ladies would benefit from it.
And, as always, I am here for all you ladies. Ive known what it is to be scared, cold, hungry and alone. I cannot stand idly by and not offer my hand just as it was so generously and selflessly offered to me long ago.
And Im happy to share that two ladies have already contacted me for help- both now ex-gfx gals. One is in transition and Ill be working with her showing her true independence as a provider, the other is at the airport awaiting her flight home.

You know, I was told to research to learn the ropes, read what I can, etc... A provider friend of mine mentioned it may also be good to read about 'the other side' so I found these two articles which were very illuminating and helped explain why some providers do things the way they do it...

Savak, you sir, are a genius. This way the newbie providers can directly contact other established providers for some tips and advice instead of trusting someone just because they say they should.
Thank you KKA and you other ladies who welcome the newbies with open arms and insight of what to expect and be careful of.
Thanks Netx9 those links are very helpful for everyone.

In theory this is a nice sentiment. However a good portion of the WW ladies are straight off of BP, and no matter how much they claim they are independent, they aren't! When you're contacting them, you are not even communicating with them. Freebies and discounts are being offered from the pimp. The ladies know nothing about it until they are told as to why they don't have to charge, or accept less for that session. So even with a Mentor, all that is receiving that Mentorship is a pimp.

it's really obvious you don't know what your talking about. you don't know what it's like on the other side or how much a "Pimp" is even involved in a ladies "management."

This sentence isnt well written but Im going to reply to what I 'think' it says-
If you feel 'mentorship' is pimping then you are wrong. Ive helped alot of ladies in this way.
To me a pimp is a person who does not care about the welfare of the lady. A pimp sees the lady as a paycheck and a piece of meat the pimp can use as he/she sees fit. A pimp names the price and takes most or all of the ladys money. A pimp abuses the lady in every and any way possible whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, and intimidates her, instilling fear in her. Some pimps give the ladies a broader reign of freedom and dont have a tight hold on the person but do on the money and some basically keep them like prisoners whether against their own will or by intimidation.
A mentor is none of these things. I believe a lady should always set her own rates. She is the only one who can and should comfortably set her business worth. The lady should always also handle all her monetary transactions on her own. As an independent she should never have anyone doing this for her nor have to share or give a cut to anyone. Mentorship is more about helping a girl understand the hobby, the dos and donts, safety and self defense precautions, how to work professionally and all the things surrounding and including TCB skills etc., how to interact with clients, how to build a longtime and good reputation, how to carry ones self, how to market ones self, make a website, what is worth paying for and not as far as advertising goes, dealing with various in session situations, juggling private life and hobby life and having future goals set to achieve down the road and how to make it possible and a whole lot more.... That is just SOME of what MY way of mentoring is and I in no way consider that pimping at all.

No I'm saying if you pm a WW provider to mentor, you are most likely pming a pimp.
Points can be made briefly.

Leo, you are such a sweetie!!
This is a great idea, and I wouldn't be opposed to helping some ladies. And trust that we know which ones are taking advantage and make our own notes.
