I like how you are willing to fight to the last Ukrainian for the ideal of a free Ukraine!!! You're all about the self sacrifice. You hate Trump so much you would continue a slaughter in Europe because you REALLY CARE about Ukrainian Independence and sovereign integrity! LOL

If Joe Biden were doing this, you'd be arguing that Ukraine just needs to accept reality.

Another Ukraine First liberal.

As I understand the agreement, Europe will give Ukraine their current arms and purchase new ones for themselves, as that’s the fastest way to facilitate further arming Ukraine.

I’m for supporting the Ukrainian people from the subjugation of their country by Russia. Not the first time this has happened by the way. The Ukrainians have been invaded and subjugated throughout their history.

Many liberals and conservatives support Ukraine. I’m just glad that you specifically have no problem throwing them to the wolves if it saves a buck.

Maybe someone can tell me what the best case outcome of this Alaska meeting will be with Trump and Putin?

In my opinion the most likely and the best option would be for there to be an actual framework for peace talks that includes representatives from Russia, Ukraine and the US. Without guarantees from each country for a commitment to peace then we’ll get nowhere.

The worst option would be for Trump to throw up his hands and pull all support for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia.

If the Ukrainians are willing to fight for their freedom who am I to stand in their way. If the need arms to do so, let’s give them all they need. A militarily weaker Russia is fine by me. I’m ok with Russians dying to support the stupidity of their invasion. I’m also ok with Ukrainians dying to defend their lands just as we would were the situation the US being invaded.

People dying in war isn’t something that bothers me. Countries invading others does. My disdain for Trump has nothing to do with this. I like Tiny and drag him just the same for his position.

The conundrum for the liberal, if it is so important for Russia to lose then they should willing to do ANYTHING to support Ukraine including US ground troops. That is what you want. You don't care if Ukraine wins, you want Russia to lose. Not because you hate Russians but because you bought into the whole Putin and Trump are partners. Anything Trump must be opposed.
Imagine that was a premise of a sitcom (it would be a sitcom) the main character is completely motivated by being anti whatever another character is doing no matter how benign.
As for Ukrainian lives...they are chickens waiting for their media to be wrung.

Too bad Ukraine doesn’t have two huge oceans between them and those that want what they have.

Actually I want Russia to lose and have long before Trump was in the picture. And just as much, I want whomever is fighting Russia or eventually China to win. Because ultimately that works to the benefit of the United States.

Loose what before 2016? You wanted them to give up after they humiliated Clinton? How about when Obama let them have the Crimea? You did become agitated about something after Trump's perfect phone call to Zelensky. You're a born again fanatic...and those are the worst kind.

You realize Russia plays geopolitical games that existed prior to Ukraine. And in other theaters aside from Eastern Europe.

You’re making assumptions about which you’re wrong.

Don’t blame me that you’re too stupid to structure your portfolio to avoid paying Uncle Sam.

Don't think anything is going to happen. Putin is going to Alaska, and trump is going to Russia. Maybe they are using Microsoft Teams.
