"prize fighters" implies that both sides are professionals and know what they're doing. In this case it's like an amateur (trump) getting in the ring with a heavyweight. He's simply over matched, along with being fucking stupid. The outcome was pretty much per-determined. Putin made him look like a bitch.

Who are the Putin Bros.?

Those who hate President Trump so much that they would rather see the slaughter continue rather than President Trump succeed with his peace initiative.

This covers both Democrats and Republicans.

These are akin to Putin’s useful idiots. Putin knows he can count on the anti Trump crowd to sow discontent.

People seem to forget the lessons of Hitler, Chamberlain and the Sudetenland.

The fear in this scenario is that Putin is Hitler who has invaded, Trump is Neville Chamberlain trying to make peace and Ukraine is the Sudetenland.

Appeasing Putin with his promises of peace if the world just gives him what he wants will just confirm to him and the world at large that invading a sovereign country is Ok because not even the United States is prepared to stop this form of aggression.

Just because some people in Ukraine speak Russian and that some people want to join Russia is not a valid reason to allow a foreign power to conquer a sovereign country. This is exactly the excuse that the world used when they allowed Hitler to take over the Sudetenland with no one in opposition.

And when it was all said and done, we had WW-2, when France and England declared war when Hitler decided he also wanted Poland.

Will it take WW-3 to stop Putin?

If President Trump puts sanctions on Russia by convincing China and India to stop buying his oil, the World economy will take a huge hit when energy prices sky rocket.

Puh-Leeeze! You got one guy who fancies himself a deal maker with a record of having to be bailed out and bankrupt countless times. Who also has the stamina to only press a button for diet soda. Than you have the other who does not admit to his physical frailties (bad eyesight and such) and won't eat from anyplace he does not control the environment for fear of being poisoned. What we do have with him is a seasoned intelligence operative that rose to pseudo bird colonel in the KGB and uses the techniques from such ruthlesslly.

So, an apt description for foreign affairs, we have one fighter that does his best to hide his blindside to his opponent and the other a ringside waterboy.

Think you're having a senior moment there. Or maybe as you say, "delusion".

This was just another silly ass attention seeking Trump stunt that anyone with one iota of sense should not have taken seriously... just seems to me to be another distraction attempt by the geezer in Chief while Ms. Despicable Maxwell chills at her new country club.
Oh Lucas. They don't care about that. You need all participants at the table to make a deal. Useless otherwise. From what I heard today, pooty wants the exact same thing he always wanted. His position has not changed one inch. Makes you wonder why donny didn't walk out immediately like he said he would since nothing new happened. And hell, they were too scared to take questions.
*THAT* is a chink in pooty armour. Would have loved a MediaZona reporter to direct a question to him.

And to top off the sloppy toppy donny gave, he legitimized him.

Shouldn't you let the person who coined that define it? This is how maggies flame the fire of confusion and discord. But we all know that is intentional

Vladi's Russia is essentially a gas station with nuclear weapons!
If India and China stop buying Vladi's oil ... Vladi's economy is gunna collapse!
India and China are addicted to cheap Russian oil!
(They have none of it on their own!)
What, are they supposed to do?
How are their economies supposed to survive?
I can't see that symbiotic relationship ... changing any time soon!

so Ukraine reneging on a referendum to allow Donbas to be annexed by Russia had nothing to do with it.

you sure about that?

So you lied. The context of my comment was that you guys on the left have been calling Trump and Putin partners. I said the opposite. You lied!

Putin does not make deals. He threatens, kills, and poisons people. He is a novice when it comes to making a real deal.

Putin did affirm that if Trump had been president he would not have attacked.

Yes because he knows Trump loves being flattered and is dumb enough to believe anything. He also told him he won the 2020 election. And in return Trump has agreed to no sanctions and no ceasefire. A win for Putin. This just shows the weakness of Trump in actually dealing with Putin. Trump is a terrible negotiator.

Lol. The situations are not analogous. Putin doesn’t have the capability of invading the rest of Western Europe. As for the Russian speakers in the Donbas, do you think the ONLY thing that distinguishes them from the rest of Ukraine is the language? lol.

That’s for the simplistic version of history.

It ignores the whole history around the Maidan revolution and US interference in Ukraine as well as the expansion of NATO to oppose a nation that no longer exists

Why is it liberals care so much about what other nations think about us? It’s irrelevant to what Americans elect a representative for.
