names in review titles
Hey guys. I know it has been said before, MANY times.... but can you put the name of the provider in the review TITLE?
I know you are all looking for the clever play on words, or whatever, but it really isn't that hard to add the name in there too.
Repeat after me (and I am not pointing fingers, but you guys know who you are...):
"Names in the Titles."
You can do it. Post a stickey by the computer. Write it on your hand. Whatever it takes.

Agreed , it's inconvenient to open one to find out who it's about , only to find out its a FBSM which does not interest me in the least ! I title all my reviews with song titles , but always include the providers handle , that way I get to screw around , but you get the info you need !

If you hover your mouse over the thread link the provider name usually appears as part of the displayed preview. That is how I deal with this issue.
Some of the guys can't form complete sentences, much less remember where they put stuff. Getting a form filled out reliably is asking a bit much, don't you think?
A cool solution would be for the site software to automagically place the provider's name in the title, oh wait, it's already been done on another board, far far away...

It just ruins my day to see a review without the providers name in the title. NOT!!! Find something else to bitch about.

When I find a review without the provider's name in the title I will add it.
Yes, the mouse over tip provided by Rover14 is a great way to skirt the issue.
The more reviews you are going through, the more time is saved by having the name in the thread title.

Colt, my blackberry won't even display eccie worth a damn so I never even noticed that issue. It is entirely valid. I assume on a mephone or android beast placing the cursor over the link works, but haven't tried it.
JJ, you nailed it with that response. While I provided my work-around to the issue, it still doesn't let the lame ass, lazy mofo's off the hook. They should include the name. They spend so much time coming up with hip titles but leave out the important part. Then they don't go back and fix it either.
They just be low class limp dicks trollin' for attention.

Oh, come on now, 'keeps, don't be like that.
Sure, in the grand scheme of things, there are far more serious concerns in the world..The Gulf War, The National Economy, cops going postal, etc. etc.etc...the list is endless...and, yes, I'll agree, this pales in comparison
However, in this little sandbox that we call the hobby, it's a valid complaint and one in which I'll back 100% because it's an inconvenience. It's an inconvenience to me. It's an inconvenience to you, and it's an inconvenience to anyone else who has ever had to open a review simply to find out whom the subject of that review might be, --even worse when you find that it's regarding someone that, for whatever the reason, you're really not all that interested in seeing.
So after being subjected to this inconvenience repeatedly and often enough, well, it just becomes aggravating.
I don't know about you but I've got better things to do with my time than to have to weed through that sort of nonsense. I know that on some hobby-boards, the reviewed providers name must be in the title for the review to be considered for/issued credit. I wish that rule would be implemented here
Why allow it to perpetuate when the fix is so easy?
The pros certainly outweigh the cons. By having the name in the title, it cuts out a lot of unnecessary effort, it makes skimming through the reviews much more easy, and it makes things far less aggravating; especially when it's something that should have been included in the first place.
So the simple solution to all of this is to require the reviewing monger to include the gal's name in the review title and we can squash this annoyance, temper the added aggravation, and get on to better things to "bitch about".
Sounds like a win-win to me.

All anyone has to do is hit the backspace button.
There are reviews with names in the title but with no information.

If you ask me, this is a waste a time. But once again, backspace.

On another note providers writing reviews to maintain reps after poor ones probably don't know the proper form..... Lol

I would prefer that the title be just the providers name, no play on words and the name or anything like that. But, it really isn't a big deal.

You're missing the point. I'm well aware of how to get back to where I had started. The annoyance comes from the fact that I wouldn't have been led down that errant path had the name been included in the title. It's not the end of the fucking world, and I'm not trying to argue that it is. All I'm saying is that it would make things a whole lot less frustrating if they'd simply include the gals name in the title.
I will, however, agree with you; uninformative reviews are useless.
But BOTH of these issues waste our time.
Imagine having to weed through 15-20 of these useless/non-titled reviews only to find that they contain no information/not anyone you're interested in seeing.... and then come back and tell me that you wouldn't be annoyed.
But your answer to both of these issues is for everyone to simply use the backspace button.
Well....yeah...we *could* do that...I guess...
But wouldn't it be easier and better to just fix the problem(s) so as to avoid having to deal with these issues in the first place?
