WOW...I just signed in and saw all the birthday posts, PM's and emails.
"Thank you" for thinking of me. Being a leap year baby with no birthday on the calendar, I celebrated it for days!
My SIR mailed a package of what to wear. I was told to pack warm clothes and to be at the airport for a 6am flight. I had no idea where I was off to till my bags were checked in and my ticket said NYC!!!!
Our hotel room window was straight across from the Empire State Bldg (
see it in my avatar). Dinner reservations that night were in a revolving restaurant far above tall buildings and lights that went as far as the eye could see. I did lots of sight-seeing, lingere at Bloomingdale's, and of course, pizza in Times Square. My gift was a beautiful Pandora bracelet with a few charms to get me started. Now I can collect them from the cities that we visit. My last day there turned out as magical as my first. While we were walking down 5th Ave it was just beginning to snow.
I guess now you can see why neither "
Eccie" nor "
LilRed" ever crossed my mind, for I was enjoying the most unforgettable, fairy-tale birthday, a girl could ever have!!!
