If you're fun to be around you, have to potential to be anyone's ATF. It's not just the hobby, that goes for friends, family, co-workers. If a provider introduces you to her friends and family, hangs with you just to hang out, and fucks for free, you can probably consider yourself an ATF. The downside is that when the flame dies out, you lose access to a good provider and she potentially loses a client.

Very wise post. I sometimes find the line to differentiate between being an ATF or a sucker to be very thin. This is more my fault than the girl. She may like me and enjoy my company, treat me well, and give me everything I want out of the time together. When she has financial problems, I help her out. Most genuinely need the help and appreciate it. Most of the time I'm glad to help. A few have probably taken advantage of me, suckered me, but they needed the money anyway, so I consider it a good deed.
Deep in my DNA lies the desire to get something out of every transaction, though. Such thoughts lead to a small sliver of doubt, a questioning. The girl may be innocent of wrongful intent, but I lose trust. Am I really that special to her? Reality check, I'm old and fat, she is young and pretty. What am I - a kind family friend, albeit one who has sex with her?
Ultimately, you are as sure about being an ATF as you can be sure about her having an orgasm. Make sure that the overall experience is worth it to you, treat her kindly, and enjoy the experience. Her treating you like you are an ATF, and her apparently having orgasms, means at least she wants you to stick around.

I'm 100% with Jewish Lawyer, it is irrelevant to me since living in a fantasy has served me very well for over 40 years.
