It's called learning, and a reduced tolerance for bullshit.

+1 Again. Does that make 3?

Anyway, inconsistency is sure predictor of, well, inconsistency. Things change, people change, they come, they go, they disappear for a while, especially the one's who magically turn up when school is out to work the vagina scholarship program. Why others vanish and come back is a curiosity. Short term boyfriend or ex issues, being in jail or rehab or pregnant...who knows. Moreoever, who cares? A consistent non BSC provider is your best experience. Always better safe than sorry, and if the good vibes left with the Beach Boys on the oldies station, don't go. Use the Forks, Luke, use the Forks!.

Most concise, to the point post I have seen in a while.

The hard thing to understand is how poor the learning curve is for some guys and gals. And NO, I ain't naming names.

Perhaps having your nose up some gal's ass for extended periods of time reduces the effect of bullshit?

In any event, DRAMA can sometimes be spelled DNS. The interesting thing is how drama plays out. But to explain my theory on that would require names. Not going to go there.

It's a good thing, Hercules. I am paranoid, too! I turn down many many appointment request because I am not comfortable in how the guy writes in e-mail. It's that gut feeling I always listen to. I am always weary about guys who INSIST of sending me a picture of him even after I declined saying it's not necessary. I am more interested in your references and if you are clean, polite, respectful and will treat me like a person. And my instinct is always right on this one. Usually the guy ends up writing me back and forth for no reason just to waste my time and looking for a girlfriend or a real life date. And it also tells me that he does not value DISCRETION as highly as I do since he's sending his pictures to many people.

I misspelled the word "wary" with "weary". Haha!!! Sorry...I am not 'sleepy'.

Been there, done that and have a whole room full of t-shirts.

Age gives us an opportunity to have had more experiences but does not guarantee it. I'm sure that there are some younger hobbyists who have been on the "accelerated plan" whose caution (paranoia) is on par with some of us older guys.

Spikebaby, your pussy grew a dick? Hmmm, verrrrrrry interesting.....

The last line above violates The Rule for Gratuitous, Useless Postings but, if I was universally known for total self-control I probably wouldn't be in the hobby

The worst thing that can happen from being overly cautious is missing out on what could have been a fun experience.

That's a small price to pay for avoiding the opposite worst case scenario.

Here's a hypothetical that actually happened to me. I showed up to a girl's hotel which required a room key to ride the elevator. When I texted for the room number, she told me her room key was hidden next to a fire hydrant out back. I told her a work emergency had popped up and promptly left the premises. Was I being paranoid? Probably. Do I regret it? Not at all.

I have a little different paranoia. I met a lady who was absolutely the best around. Super super woman. I like to play, laugh, generally take it slow and enjoy the ride. (I'm also old and just can't fuck at the pace I used to). Glorious time. Before I could get back she began to post on a regular basis both ads and showing up in chat. Everything she wrote and said was -- "fuck me hard, do me til I scream, let's fuck til we can't breath" type responses.

Hmmmm - sorry, I don't think I can please you. Makes me paranoid to be such a bland white bread so I'll pass on going back because I like to fool myself into thinking she has as much fun as I do.

But it's all good because I have managed to meet another couple of excellent ladies. The great thing about Dallas and the hobby is - don't beat yourself up on anything. Just move on to the next one.

That's kind of a shitty thing to do to a provider.

What's so scary about picking up a room key and going up the elevator?

Safety is important. When I haven't listened to my gut I look back and want to take a boot and kick myself in the ass.

Because all her other clients and who-knows-else knows if they see someone picking up that key by the hydrant know what they're there for and know they got a bit of cash on them.

Yahh...and if that is her standard procedure, all her previous clients know which room she's in and if the key happens to be by the hydrant....hmmm, it's not really safe for her. Where is common sense nowadays?
