However many parts are closed, whether your myopic brain wishes to acknowledge it or not. Actually, my bet is you know this but have very selective recall when a lie fits your purposes better. Care to see how long it will take you to get a passport this week, visit a national park, or check on your grant application (among other things)? But so long as they aren't your paycheck--or the part of the gov't you care to interact with today--what is a little exaggeration/mistruth among friends?

And no, the government (yes, federal government) workers who are furloughed are NOT getting paid.

Some day it would be a pleasant surprise to see you post about something you actually know.
 |
No intent to misinform or mislead at all. How can you say the Federal Govt is shut down when "essential" people are told to show up? And "essential people" outnumber "unessential" people? Army is still functioning. Mail service still happening...on and on.

So some people won't get their passport...please.

I also read that even "non-essential" personnel where told to show up for at least half a day today and that in most prior "shutdowns" their "lost" pay was eventually recovered.

You, Old-T, have Alzheimer's in addition to being a racist and a liar.

Being called a dipshit by you, Assup, is like being called a criminal by John Gotti.
So you didn't see the part of the article that showed the Democrats plummeting in the polls as bad or worse than the Republicans? How does that spell doom for the Tea Party?

Actually, I hope you're right. If the numbers spell doom for the Tea Party, then they spell doom for the Democrats and RINOs, too. Good riddance to all of them. Maybe, just maybe, this leaves a little hope that Liberty in America is not quite dead yet.

Thanks, Assup! You always know how to brighten my day!

Yeah. Like the government in full operation has been such a benefit for the economy. The more the economy is left alone from influences from government and corporate price makers, the better off we will all be.

More accusations with no basis. Where have I been a racist? Against what group? (Bubbas are not a "race", nor are WERFs.) What did I misstate here? Correcting your errors is not lying--check the definition. Nope, you were spouting off once again with no concern for facts--and when called on it you shuffle your brain cell and shout "It wasn't a big mistake! No fair! Leave me alone, I'm happy in my ignorance!" Yep. That about fits.

Real simple: I pointed out a number of your errors/lies/omissions--what did I misstate here? I know I'll probably wait as long for an answer now as I have been waiting for you to point out where I have been racist, but I am patient. And it's fun watching you slink away after your bluff has been called.Quote:

I guess thinks like that depend on who is traveling, where, why, etc. But so long as nothing inconveniences YOU it doesn't really matter, does it? Where is your outrage at all the commerce delays, businessmen who can't get things done, etc.? Yep, very selective concern on your part. That is what everything is in your mind, isn't it? Services YOU find useful or important should be kept open, those you don't consider important, well they don't matter.

Just for your info--lots of notices went out that VA hospital services are being scaled back. Vets here were told to expect up to 4 hour delays for routine blood work, etc. Another one of your "please" comments I am sure. Until it's YOUR blood work I would expect. But you get the idea.

I also read that even "non-essential" personnel where told to show up for at least half a day today and that in most prior "shutdowns" their "lost" pay was eventually recovered.
Just a small correction to your incorrect "facts". No, most non-essentials were brought in to turn in gov't equipment, keys, swipe cards, laptops, etc. And assuming it was the same as past times it was "no more than" a half day, not "at least". But what are a few facts to you. Somehow I doubt they are counting on the "generosity" of congress to give them any lost pay. But if they do you will probably still find a way to blame them anyway. It's just who you are.

One of many of their lies "down the drain"! Hanoi COG's personal ATF, "Sweet Ass" IIFFY, is one of the dullest knives in the Tea Baggers drawers!
