				Question about a new guy...

Wondering if I could get some thoughts on this:
I've got a potential client that I'm trying to screen.. the only ref's he has is an escort agency in Ft Lauderdale that still hasn't returned my emails or phone calls.
He has told me once on the phone and just now in an email that "I'm new to all this" and to forgive him if he lacks the proper decorum and etiquette. ( I also get a voice mail that hasn't been set up if I call him; he's never heard of Eccie , ya know cause he's new to all of this) I get a funny feeling feeling about him so I'm not going with this one....
So heres my question to you ladies and gentlemen:
Ladies - as the provider what goes through your mind when he repeatedly tells you that he's new? ( I made all sorts of bells and whistles go off for me)
Gentlemen: Do(did) you tell your provider that you're totally new to this game? Or do(did) you try to "fake it till you make it"?

First thing I did was join P411. I haven't kept the membership up in years because I so rarely hobby, but it made all the difference in the world up front.

I don't know how new you are, but do you think he approached you because you have been here for such a short time? That would at least be a yellow caution flag to me.

When guys tell me this I just inform them that I'm not seeing newbies at this time, and try to think of ladies that I know do see newbies leave it at that. Most understand go get references, and they try again.

Always go with your gut feeling. If bells and whistles were going off for you, why risk it?

I agree with EBG on newbies.

I imagine you will get all sorts of stories from gents who would like to meet you. Some gents will try and slip by the screening system. Be extra cautious since you are new here. Verify provider references and don't take a short cut. Not all money is good money.

Also, When you have a negative gut feeling - trust it even if you can't explain it.

Welcome to Eccie
Have fun here

While everyone was a newbie at one time, you should go with your gut and not see him, tell him why nicely and let him know about the providers on Eccie that do see newbies and have them screen him however they do it, then once he sees a provider or two, have him get back with you and check those references.

Yep, if you are new, P411 is the way to go. Normally thats the only way I do business, unless the girl is new or not on P411, that I would like to see. That way there are no surprises and screening is much easier.

If you have a bad vibe, then don't see him. Always go with your instinct even if mostly it might turn out wrong.

I feel the same way about new providers with no track record.

 I don't do it.

While I would never recommend a provider go against her rules for screening, always remember ECCIE is but a very small % of the overall hobby world. The fact that he has not heard of it, by itself, isn't a reason to worry. As many other ladies have said, they have many clients who have never heard of this place.

Thank you all for your advice and thoughts!
I did nicely tell him I would need more provider references, to which he responded "well I have an Eccie handle but dont have any reviews" (when I asked for his handle he didn't want to give it to me) but in an email he said he's never heard of Eccie . I may be new on here Eccie but I didnt fall off the turnip truck yesterday!! LOL
I told him his best bet was to join P411 and then verification would be much easier for him in the future.. and to call me when he's joined and I'd love to see him.
Again thank you all for responding... you guys have really made me feel welcome !
XOXO

If he's new you can get a few pieces of information and screen him without waiting for someone you don't know to verify. Join the website called www.verifyhim.com I find it valuable for anyone not on 411.

If he has half a brain and any common sense he will do some research first and not say multiple times.."I'm new". That's the kind of hobbyist that will save your number and his SO will find it.

More established providers can be more "selective" of whom they see and/or if they see any newbies.

I told the first three I was new. I don't see why being a honest is a problem. I'm still pretty new to this and getting criticized while learning the ropes doesn't help. I'm a super nice and respectful guy and I would have problem being turned away nor would I give any resistance to the girl.

I've still not done FS... yet! ;-)

But to give you some perspective and advice, think about when you were first getting started. You were probably nervous as hell. What makes it different for a new dude? We don't know you either and we're putting our time and money at risk.

A girl could be bat shit crazy and we don't know.

A guy could be a colossal douche bag and you don't know.

But the difference is, you have the experience on how to deal with it and protect yourself where a new hobbyist is gonna have to take his lumps.

So the "I'm new" thing is more of a subconcious probing request for reassurance I think.

But above all, I'd say listen to your gut. You develop some powerful intuition in a biz like this, trust it because at the end of the day, I think ALL of us our most concerned with safety and just want to have some adventurous fun without worry of LE and crazy people :-)
