Ted Kennedy, a drunk sexual predator who was a sleazeball politician....RIP.
It has often been written that Mary Jo Kopechne "drowned." She didn't. The cause of death was asphyxiation -- there was an air pocket inside the overturned car, and Mary Jo lived long enough to breathe the last remaining oxygen in that air pocket. And while Mary Jo was breathing her last . . . what did Ted Kennedy do?
Walked away, returned to his hotel room, got some sleep, sobered up, and concocted his story.
His body should be dug up from Arlington National Cemetery and dumped on the stairs of the Capitol in Boston.

You forgot to mention that he got a shower, combed his hair, sobered up, and changed his clothes before going into town to report the murder.
Heads cut off on this version but this was Ted Kennedy the morning after walking in to report the accident. This is after, according to him, he was in the water, made several efforts to rescue Mary Jo, and spent the night wandering around in a daze that he had just recovered from. Cleans up pretty good does he? Didn't even have time to get his neck brace on.
