I feel you. I'm at the point where I stopped trying to understand why people do the stupid things they do. People will be people. And yes people are assholes. My Best way to deal with an asshole is by being a dick. It's an easy concept:
Don't be an asshole and I won't be a dick. Just wish more people would grasp this concept :/

Depends on how you cook it and if it's farm raised or not. You will not like farm raised, tastes like crap, after you've has pond fresh ones dredged in seasoned flour, sautéed with garlic in a butter/ olive oil mixture with fresh herbs and capers. Baked apples go well with this I pair it with a hoppy ale. or a Pinot red or white

Employees do love me but I prefer to call them team members. I try to treat team members well, and when I do something for them, I ask them not to tell anyone because I don't want the rumor to spread. I just saw my attitude going down hill. I don't like it. I didn't even know what drama was until I got into the business. I wish I would never have learned what I learned. Now, I know what drama is and I know how people can have problems at home and come out to a business and take it out on people that are on the bottom of the totem pole, struggling to make a living and having problems of their own. Sometimes, I look at someone, and I wonder how they make it, how they survive off the little that they make and why are they willing to put up with what they put up with. Really, I am not the right person to have a couple of hundred people work for me. I think, too much.

I have been the as*hole, too, though. I have treated some customers bad, after they made my team members cry. I work with my team members all day. I see what they go through. They don't have to work with me, they could go somewhere else and probably make more money; I know that.
