I plan to come down in a few weeks for a tour to Memphis and I was thinking of going on down to have some play time in Tupelo. Anyone have suggestions on which is a good/best casino to stay and play in? Not a work type of play but just some me time.

Perhaps you meant Tunica? I don't believe Tupelo has casinos.

No clue about that. If I had money to spend, I'd spend it on companionship, not gamble it away.

As "locals" I'm not sure too many will have spent overnights down there. What I do remember from a couple years ago when I was looking at a mini vacation is that weekday rates were about a quarter of weekend rates.

As to gambling itself, depends on your game. There are one or two that are almost all machines. Only one still has poker room I think.

I travel the area all the time and stayed in most of the casinos. My personal favorite is the Gold Strike. Maybe we will see each other there!!!
