Surgery was somewhat of a success!! The doctor is feeling better about his recovery but says the next 24 hours are crucial!! Thanks again to all for your continued thoughts and prayers.

I have a very good report this morning! Thru the night, Dad continued to improve. The surgery was more of a success than the doctor's originally thought and he is more and more responsive even opening his eyes and trying to talk this morning. He's incubated, so it's difficult for him. He'll stay in ICU for the next few days being monitored, but the doctors think he can make a gradual but full recovery. At 81, he's still a fighter!!!
I know I don't know most of you that pm'd and responded to this thread, but I want to sincerely thank you all for your concern on my dad's behalf!! I honestly believe it was because of my close friends, family and your prayers and thoughts that carried him thru!! I also believe that God had a huge part in Dad's recovery! I've been on my knees a lot since Saturday morning!!! You are a great group of people and it's nice to know that you have my back thru times like this!!! A million thanks!!!
