Pilots understand what counter rotating means. They had better if they want to live.
The P38 is like a beautiful woman. She will draw you in then she will kill you.
The P38's props moved in the wrong direction making both of them the critical prop.

Every piece of equipment is different and needs custom handling. Even if the serial numbers are sequential.

I know an A-26 pilot. And I knew a C47 pilot from WWII. I salute both of them. I also had the privilege of saluting a Tuskegee Airman a few years ago. I am sure they would love the pic you show sir.

Both need custom handling.
But the growl of nicely handled equipment is nothing contrasted to the pleased purr of a gal.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barbara in the spring of 96 at the cape _merit island. She came to the cape to sign autographs it was I dream of genie day. I got a bout 15 min one on one conversation time with her. My stupid ass asked her if she ever got to drive the gto. She replys. Gto ? I say yah the conv used in the opening credits. I explain to her that it was a 66 not a 65 and not a ram air car. She looks at me baffeled and gives me hug. God I can be a dork
