I think it was another damn mismatch. Kirkland is nowhere near the fighter I had believed him to be ... Looked to me like Alvarez thoroughly beat the shit out of that boy.

Round 3 (Alvarez wins by TKO!)
Kirkland with a left to the body, but Canelo comes back with two sharp hooks and some nice comhination punching. A massive right uppercut from Canelo and Kirkland is floored again! Makes it to his feet and convinces the referee he’s OK, but then a destructive right hand from Canelo knocks Kirkland down and out cold. It’s over! Canelo Alvarez wins by knockout!

No shit man. I knew it was another fluff fight for Canelo. I said kirkland didn't have a chance in hell and it showed.
I'd rather see Canelo vs GGG and not Cotto.

For real though, I don't see any chance for kirkland. He hasn't fought, his mind is elsewhere, and most of all, he doesn't have Anne in his corner. I don't know why he doesn't, but it's a recipe for disaster.

Ugh, I was left wanting more, I paid a lot for those tickets!,,
gotta agree with greek, GGG would b a good match for Canelo, but I in bet he will go against Cotto first, cuz it would be more of a money making match with Cotto.

That was a pretty good fight. Kirkland started off well but a couple good pops to the dome made him dizzy and you knew where it was going. I think cotto will be the fight if it's an option for him. The Mexican vs PR thing is big money maker.
How was watching a fight at minute maid park?

By the end of the first round, there wasn't much doubt that Kirkland wasn't going to make it much longer. I'm surprised he made it to Round 3.
It was an ass kicking, pretty much from the opening bell!
