No Duth, although you all have a dark complexion, it is not a significant shade darker than the average caucasian.
I believe there is a science to how much pigmentation has to be in ones skin before they can implement such a policy. See below:
AA albino male: acceptable as long as he doesn't have any distinguishing characteristics of an african american (nose, lips, etc....)
Lenny Kravitz Complexion: this is a coin toss not black enough to be AA, however, not white enough to be "not AA".
Wesley Snipes and below: need not apply.
It's a loose scale and interpretation, but hopefully you get the science behind it.
