Unintended consequences in California
http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1.../p2p-84642428/
The Fair Pay Act was signed into law by Jerry Brown. It requires that "pay inequity" between men and women be erased. Did they think about Hollywood instead of San Diego? Guess not. Like this article states, Jennifer Lawrence got paid millions less than Bradley Cooper and Christopher Bale for American Hustle. So....does she have a case? Can the studios be sued for inequity? Can they equate the quality and contribution of various performances given by actors? What about directors? Then again, what about on the job at the tire plant? Isn't it possible that one employee (salaried or hourly) contributes more than another in the same position? Liberals....they never think things through.

"Equal pay for equal work". That is what we all strive for.
Aside from The Entertainment Industry, when do women get less pay for the exact same job? And, on the flip side, are there any jobs where men get paid less for the exact same work?

For once , I agree with JD. Pay inequity is mostly a myth.

Kobe Bryant of the NBA Lakers earns $25 million a year. The maximum salary of a player in the WNBA is $107,000. Objective in both leagues is to put a ball in the basket and keeping your opponent from doing the same thing.
I think it is next to impossible in jobs like acting and sports to create pay equity. Too many variables. Jennifer Lawrence won a Best Supporting Actress oscar in American Hustle. Great accomplishment. Christian Bale and Amy Adams were nominated for Best Actor/actress. Bradley Cooper also nominated for Best Support Actor. Amy Adams also got 7% and her role was more significant than that of Jennifer Lawrence. So one could argue that SHE deserved 9% and Bradley Cooper 7% based on the importance of their roles in the movie. In the end, I don't care in the least. They all made a ton of money and have no reason to complain. They signed the contract beforehand and if they didn't check out the details that's their problem.

In a true free market, if Americans believed in that anymore, pay inequity would be understood to be a natural by product of hard work, inspiration, perseverance, performance, experience, and God given talent.
Faggotty liberals are the once who push "equal pay for equal work" yet pay different prices for wines, dining experiences, limo rentals, and fractional jet ownership, and gay prostitutes.

Lebron James makes more per year than the entire WNBA.

Woomby is in the bottom pay quintile for that occupation. He barely earns minimum wage. That's why he keeps pushing for a "living wage" and equal pay for eunuchs.
