Hey there i am thinking about visiting the middle of this month and was wondering where is the best area to stay or stay away from. Also any suggestions on dining, entertainment, shopping would be greatly appreciated, this is my first visit.

No ive never been there at all furthest south ive bn is austin. Open to suggestions wanting to expand my travels

Houston Zoo ( with Brand new Gorilla Exhibit)
Reliant Stadium - Home of the Texans

Arena theater
The Galleria Shopping Mall
Downtown Aquarium
Citycentre - Shopping and entertainment complex
they usually have big events going on
Discovery green - Big city park - will have live music, movies and shows
Hermann Park - Miller Outdoor theater - live shows for free

Marqee Entertainment complex

Edwards theater and IMAX
Drink Houston - Club
many restaurants on site

Houston has many wonderful restaurants

Katz's - Never Kloses in Montrose

BRC - the Big red Cock - off of Shepherd

Oh my GOGI - Food truck in rice Village - amazing spicy fusion

A couple House of Pies
James Coney Island - Fantastic DOGS
Moontower INN - Patio Hotdog restaurant - Best DOGS in H-Town - just at the edge of downtown.
Hard Rock Cafe
Mary's Lebanese off of Richmond in the Galleria Area.
Mongolian Hot Pot
Genghis Grill
